Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Was doing a highest-salary-search for TV sitcom stars and ran across this little gem

"Kunal Nayyar rose to prominence in his role as Rajesh Koothrappali in the CBS science sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”

Since the success of the show can be largely attributed to Nayyar’s performance,

he has been consistently listed as one of the highest paid TV actors for many years already.

laughing Nothing like fan-love; though delusional it may be!

I doubt that Raj is even as popular now in India with the way his character has been going. Being from the same country only goes so far when the character is a sad sack schmuck like he has been turned into.

I'm surprised that a library would have Kunal's book. But I guess stranger things have happened. Not MANY stranger things, though. grinning

I went a little off the deep end with those latest Raj show titles. My original idea was to come up with names that might actually be put on the show when run in India. It's just difficult not to get silly when thinking about that. Your ideas were names that could actually be used in that situation without being totally ridiculous.

Maybe in India they could show it as just "Friends" and hope that increases the rating. I doubt there would be any danger of a lawsuit.

Or since Doogie Howser, MD is supposed to be so popular in India, maybe Rajesh Koothrappali , Ph.D.

The comic book series about his life could be "Rajesh Koothrappali, Poor Little Rich Boy."

My library has it.

I got about half way through Kunal's book and put it down. It hit me that if not for getting the role on TBBT the book could have been about any actor anywhere studying theatre, getting roles in summer stock, working their way up etc. It was just about the typical struggles of a young unexceptional actor, who in Kunal's case struck it big, but not much more than that.

Titles: The Koothrapoli Chronicles, Rajesh and Friends, The Raj half hour of power show

Like that one. A win-win; his name plus the name-recognition of combining it with the title of a previous, long-running fan favorite.

Think I prefer this one; but, with his persona from "The Novelization Correlation". How could that not be must-see TV interrobang
