The episode airs in March and will feature Penny hosting him at her job; as well as Sheldon and company trying desperately to meet him. I wonder if this means some kind of collaboration between her company and Microsoft. Is Bill Gates donating big bucks to big Pharma? Or perhaps this is the start of a plotline where Bernadette is jealous that Penny was chosen to host Bill Gates in her stead?

What do you guys think?

Well Steve Wozniak and Elon Musk appeared so I think Gates appearance is much the same. I think it will be a one time thing not a plotline. Although a Gates led takeover would be interesting. Bernie wouldn't need much to be jealous, but I have had enough "jealousy as a plotline" plotlines. I wonder if this might signal the return of Ruchi as well? Wheaton would definitely want to snag Gates as a guest for his Prof. Proton reboot grin

First, I agree with the previous poster (znexyish); really not interested in seeing Penny and Bernie doing the head-to-head jealousy thing (although THEY ARE so well-matched).

As for Gates, when it comes to donating, isn't he all about non-profits? If so, can't see him being there to "donate" to a for-profit.

Collaboration--now that's a horse of a different color. That's something I can see happening--whether or not a company is non-profits or for-profits.

Although for all we know (I didn't read the attached article--like seeing a show "cold") he just could be there as the Keynote Speaker for their annual whatever; or to attend a retirement party for that guy (a former schoolmate?) who is so afraid of Bernie. sunglasses

Maybe Bill Gates is going to give Wheel Chair Kathy a new high tech wheelchair. wheelchair

All great ideas , but one thing is for certain: Raj , Sheldon , Leonard , Howard etc will end up having to stay at least 100 yards away from Bill Gates once the restraining order is approved.

Got me thinking about what the penalty would be if one of the guys (Sheldon, all eyes on you) got too enthused and slipped-up re: the restraining order.

"Arrest

If a defendant is caught violating a restraining order, he can be immediately arrested by the police."

"Punishment

The punishment for violating a restraining order varies by state. First-time, non-aggravated violations can carry fines of up to $5,000 and a year in jail. Subsequent, violent, or interstate violations carry increasingly extreme punishments.” (By-the-by: This is from the “Legal Beagle” site.)

All things considered...hardly worth a second "meet" with even your MOST admired icon.

Sounds like a great way to get Bob Odenkirk on the show. The boys violate a restraining order, then need a cheap lawyer, Jimmy Mcgill to the rescue!
