I think the only thing that goes by the wayside faster than a New Year's resolution is one for "Lent".
Even so, anyone giving up anything interesting for Lent?
With me it is always sweets: 😭

I'm a heathen and therefore do not have to give up anything for Lent, haha!
It's just as well - if I were Catholic I would be a very, very bad one!

When people ask what I'm giving up for Lent my response is always ,"sobriety".

Not just Catholics--shake my family tree and an assortment of devout-Lent-observers would come tumbling out--(as far as I know) none of them Catholic.
I'm not even religious LikeThat--but, still feel compelled (parental brainwashing; no doubt) to pay homage to Lent (and certain other religious rituals).

There was a time when I would have loved to be able to copy-cat your response--but, alas, that time is no more.

Very interesting, I thought Lent was just a Catholic thing, but you're right, other Christian denominations observe it as well, such as Lutherans, Methodists. and Anglicans. I was raised a non-denominational Protestant and we did not observe Lent or have Confession or a First Holy Communion, though we did have Communion during Sunday service and we have infant Baptism and later, Confirmation.
