Debate The Big Bang Theory

We know Sheldon is difficult; but, he did apologize to Wheaton. And, it was a sincere apology.

Sheldon had Wheaton on FWF – you’d think turnabout would be fair play. Plus, Sheldon is a renown scientist (maybe a little more renown in his own mind); but he would, no doubt, make an interesting guest.

At first I thought Wheaton asked about having Amy on the show just to mess with Sheldon. But, once he explained why, I thought--great!

But, still, why not have both Amy and Sheldon on his show?

Of course, Wil's "explanation" for why he wanted Amy on, might not have been totally true. But he might still have Sheldon on, after The Beaver... I mean, Sheldon... has some time to "learn his lesson."

The trick then might be to get Sheldon to talk about something on the show that kids can actually understand. Unlike his "audition tape" for example. A few failed attempts at that might end up with Sheldon never actually being on the show. Or at least not seen/broadcast to the public.

I think Wil still has some devious in him. smiling_imp

Maybe he'll ask Sheldon to come on, they'll show him ring the door bell etc, and then it cuts to him leaving. And Wil tells Sheldon that all his other stuff was cut by the producers etc because it was too complicated for the children watching the show.

But that could backfire on Wil, because Sheldon might not care, as long as he gets to be seen.

Sheldon (being the superior being that he is wink ), surprised me by even wanting to go on AFTER engineer--Howard. Now, he also would have to follow Amy. Still—even considering all that speaking_head he did on the roof— being the third choice (within his group) may NOT be too much for NEW Sheldon's ego to bear. OLD Sheldon--NEVER, EVER would have considered it!

Part of his charm.

Love the way he handled Sheldon--that is, not letting “The Big Baby” manipulate him into giving him what he wanted.

Wheaton can do it. Bert can do it. Why can't Leonard?

But Sheldon knows that Third Place (or second Runner Up) is announced, then Second Place (or First Runner Up), and THEN First Place (Miss America). So even if Wil has only done 2 episodes so far (which seems unlikely), Sheldon would have no difficulty interpreting it to suit his needs. And then of course, everyone who comes AFTER him would be just because Wil has a contract obligation for X number of shows, no matter how bad the guest.

I don't think Sheldon would be that great of a guest and Will knows it. Sheldon would try to make the show about himself rather than entertain the Audience.

Excluding Sheldon and inviting Amy is the best way to stick it to Sheldon.

Sheldon probably thinks Amy is a better scientist than Leonard. So Amy would be, at best, the second-best way of sticking it to Sheldon. Then again, since Howard is only an engineer, arguably Wil has already stuck it to Sheldon better than even inviting Leonard on.
