OT: Age discrepancies in Dating

A story came across my news feed the other day I couldn't help but put some thought into this. The story is about Dane Cook and his 19 year old singer girlfriend. https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/dane-cook-45-gushes-over-19-year-old-girlfriend-kelsi-taylor/
I also saw a story on the news that Pamela Anderson is dating some 32 year old soccer player from France.
So my question is, do you think older people dating so young is odd or this a developing trend ? I mean..I know the young lady Dane Cook is with is technically an adult but She's just BARELY legal . I don't understand how a man of 45 could be comfortably dating someone who probably just graduated High school. And Pamela Anderson who has to be pushing 50 if not older is dating someone almost two decades her junior.
All power to them , but what exactly could these couples have in common?
Thoughts?

My husband is seven years younger than me. Previous to my husband, I was in a seven year relationship with a man 21 years older than me. Age differences have never bothered me - I've always said, 18 to 80, as long as they're legal, it's all good!

I actually find men older than myself very attractive- always have, though I think for me I'd limit it to within 15 years. There is something very sexy about being with a (somewhat) older man.

As for what they have in common--I'm guessing how they feel about each other. (Considering the divorce rate, trying to check everything/most things off an "IN COMMON" list, may not carry as much weight as folks think.)

I have no issue with it, I've dated older men before ,just on dates though, not long term relationships.
Age ain't nothin but a number ,Foxy.
Dane cook actually mentions dating younger girls in his stand up, and it sets up one of his most Notorious bits. Check it out on YouTube.

I read somewhere, a long while back, that women reach their sexual peak in their mid-30's where as men reach theirs in their late teens/early 20's. It seems to me that an older/younger combination could make sense. The older partner helping the younger one reach maturity. It's got to be better than two teenagers trying to figure it out behind the bleachers or an old guy taking drugs to be ready.
In the interest of science, I'd be willing to give it a try.

Tim, I don't think I could stop giggling long enough if we got together to hanky any panky. You would have to become decidedly less funny. Just those two words above had me shaking so hard it caused inquiries by those around me.
