Discuss The Big Bang Theory

1.Could Sheldon's rental of his old bedroom be the writers' way of edging him back into that apartment for good?

2.Show of hands: How many think it makes more sense for Penny and Leonard to live in Penny's apartment...because it's her apartment? I think we can consider Sheldon and Amy's "living together experiment" over and a success.

3.If Sheldon does not live in his old apartment, is his spot still enforced?

If only the Peanuts piano player'd had a cat, it would have been Schroeder's Cat.

Sheldon: Well, let’s see. We might consider Schrodinger’s Cat.
Penny: Schrodinger? Is that the woman in 2A?

Episode - The Tangerine Factor

Yes, I knew it was Schrodinger. I just thought if I made a joke with a name that was close enough, it would be a real dinger.

I thought that Penny had a line using that joke as well. I will try to find it unless it is from a different multiverse.

Or we could pretend that my joke was not only side-splittingly hilarious, but also extremely original.

This is a test for extreme intelligence. Only genius level thinkers will appreciate the humor. ( I thought it was hilarious.)

Awww. You and Gothish made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Sometimes I think MY head has gotten too rounded on this board.

Not to stray too far afield, but Charlie Brown is known for having a very round head.

Yes, but my reference was to something even earlier in this thread- the episode of SpongeBob when his head rounded out and he became normal.

I'm afraid I'm becoming too normal.

-1. No. Unless Shamy is somehow headed for a derailment (even temporarily). Think there is more comedic mileage to be had with Sheldon as an "invader", popping in whenever than as a permanent fixture.

-2. thumbsdown_tone1 Like the "neutral-territory” premise behind the present Shamy arrangement. Since Sheldon isn't much of a sharer (even on his best day), think this eliminates the possibility of him harboring (even subconsciously) any possessive feelings about the place and/or contents where Amy is concerned. Living-space-wise, they moved into Penny’s apartment with clean slates. There is no yours/mine—only “ours”.

Their present setup has more of an-equal-footing-feel about it.

-3. Yes. Wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a clause stating same, hidden somewhere in an "Agreement" he tricked them into signing.

1.I should have been clearer in my original query. I didn't mean that Sheldon would move back into his old apartment because he and Amy broke up. I meant he'd move back in and take Amy with him.

See my responses above to Gothish for additional thoughts on these topics as I think they also address some of the things you said here. slight_smile

Oops!

Missed the point. Didn't realize it was about each couple having the other's apartment.

In that case I'll have to change my response to:

Your way is how I've always thought it should be; but, since there doesn't seem to be a "down” side to the arrangement as is; can't see an "up” side to changing it? Plus, it’s what Sheldon wanted.

The up-side would be that Penny would be back in her original home, Sheldon would be back in his original home, Penny could re-hang her beautiful Chinese lanterns and I could stop creating threads asking why they are living in the wrong places.

So who wins in a fight between Female Thor and She Hulk ? Or do they go off and have a girls night out at the Asgard Casino ?

Also Thor is a name not a type of character so one shouldn't say Female Thor as there is no Thor just a guy named Thor. A female Thor should properly be called Thorette, just as a female Smurf is called Smurfette . Bazinga !
