The role they gave Walter Goggins, the ex-husband who first seems threatening to Raj then goes out to dinner with him, reminded me of the role that Michael Rapaport played in "The Helium Insufficency", the helium dealer who the boys find scary and then sit down to watch "Ernest Goes to Jail" with. Anyone else ?

Psst! It's Walton, not Walter!

Walter and Beth look much better in real life and other roles than they did in the episode. Their characters seemed to be purposely made a bit frumpy for their roles.
I also recall being in a waiting room for some appointment and leafing through a glossy waiting room magazine and coming across an article on couples that are radically different form each other, one tall the other short, one good looking the other not, one much older or younger. Opposites attract yes, but this was ridiculous.

Even if you find hundreds, or thousands, or MILLIONS of exceptions, there are billions of people in the world, so they can still be the hundreds - or thousands, or MILLIONS - of exceptions that prove the rule.

So; you are saying: millions of "uglies" married to "beauties" proves the rule that some people are too unsightly to be married to lookers?
That don't make no kind of sense!

Dare I quote "Ulysses Everett McGill":

As I said, even if you find millions of exceptions, out of BILLIONS of people, that's what, less than 1/10th of 1%? And the fact that those people - even when they appear in magazines, etc - are still seen as unusual ("wow, isn't it surprising that SHE married HIM!") does actually support the validity of the general rule. And if you get right down to it, a "rule" with NO exceptions isn't just a rule, it's more like a fact.

It doesn't matter to me much about who looks like what in some relationship. What does matter is how pointless the Walton/Beth story line was. Bringing in characters just to screw with Raj is stupid and forgettable.

Maybe they've done that kind of thing so many times, over 11 years, that it just seems normal now.

I have found that it takes me much longer to get exhausted with things and say "enough is enough!" than most people. (Something that has not served me well over time!) But I'm ready to say it with the endless string of pointless failed dating stories for Raj! Enough is enough!!!
For Raj

The same with Sheldon struggling over String theory and String theory vs. Dark Matter. I say bring back Loop Quantum Gravity and let the battle begin.

And that could be an excuse for Leslie Winkle to pop up again too!

If Sara Gilbert could break away from the Rosanne Re-boot. But Loopy matter is bigger than just one character.
