Isn't two weeks a tad soon to get over your spouse AND moved on?
Even if your relationship had been gasping-for-breath for a while, and two weeks ago it breathed its last, still seemed a pretty quick turnaround.
Wouldn't a person need to "take a few" in order to settle themselves--get their barrings?
If she was over "Till death us do part" in two weeks, can't see why either would want to give each other another try?

Yes, I agree it seemed quite soon to be out sleeping with someone else. However, we have no idea how long the marriage had been unofficially over (in her mind) before she left him. But you're right, if she was that ready after 2 weeks to move on, it's odd that she'd be so quick to give him one more shot. It's what we call a "neat, tidy sitcom ending".

But on the other hand, Bernadette said for her it would be even quicker.
Of course that can be written off as "it's a sitcom." Plus Bernadette doesn't seem to be a very emotional or sentimental person.

Yes. That's what makes it funny. You're aware that it's a comedy right? If everyone acted in the logical manner that you expect them to, it wouldn't be very funny.

But still, I can see one week as being a "snit." Two weeks? That does seem more like at least the start of a "separation."

You didn't see last night's episode? Raj hooked up with a married woman who had been "separated" for two weeks. And her husband wasn't happy about it.

No, I don't watch the first run episodes. Is this the one with Beth Behrs?

Yes it is.

She was probably cheating before. If she wouldn't wait more than 2 weeks to reconcile what reason do we have to believe she was faithful to begin with?
Also, we don't know the ins and outs of thier relationship. What drove her back to him was Raj being a complete screw up.

Didn't pick up on it the first time around; but, during the re-watch noticed that she told Raj (the breakfast table scene) that her husband left her/moved out--so, she moved on.
No one wants to be "The Leftee". It "pinches". Maybe she just wanted to pinch back.

I noticed that the first time, but I didn't assume she was necessarily being honest...

Visited a couple of other sites to see if there were any “in-show” POVs from posters on other Boards re: same.
Before I tell you what I did see; I’ll tell what I didn’t…
Didn’t see: It’s just a TV show.
Didn’t see: It’s just a sitcom.
Didn’t see: Because if it was like real life it wouldn’t be as funny.
Didn’t see: Because the writers wanted it that way.
The POVs I read leaned heavily in one of two directions:
-1. They are separated - not answerable to each other anymore - she can do as she pleases.
-2. Skank.

Nell didn't strike me as on-the-level. She struck me as telling Raj only what she wanted him to know . For all we know, she initiated the separation and then lied about it.

This is the stance people regurgitate most on message boards so they can say something while saying absolutely nothing.
Just because something is comedic, intended to be funny ,doesn't mean it has to devoid of logic or common sense and "it's just a show" is a lazy way to explain away bad writing.
Comedy and logic can coexist in a show and that show can still be wildly entertaining.
