It's like Lemons said, he's sweet and charming in the beginning. And IMO, he's better looking than Leonard and Leonard's had some hot women.

Based on the answers here, I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm also wondering if the schlubs he hangs out with make him look better by comparison.

He isn’t always "socially and romantically inept"; at times he can turn on the charm and exude confident.

But, I think Raj's main sway with the ladies is the fact that he is always so-eager-to-please them.
