Couples, married or otherwise can't help but influence each other in different ways or help them change for the better. How do you see the BBT couples influencing each other for good or worse? Or are they pretty much the same as they were before they met.
1) Leonard and Penny
2) Howard and Bernie
3) Sheldon and Amy
4) Raj and his perpetually broken heart
Bonus question: For the married, on the way to getting married, or otherwise living in sin couples. How has your partner influenced the way you are ? And for the living in Sim city couples how has your best Avatar improved your virtual life. i have to say that I haven't been happier since I met my lovely yet not to be messed with Battle Ostritch, Glenda

Leonard and Penny set the standard for the other couples on how to stay together through conflict. I think the other 2 couples adapted to the example set by Leonard and Penny( who aren't perfect but certainly are resilient).
Bonus: I could write you a book on that.
He puts my mind at ease and taught me to truly enjoy life.

I think all of the couples on the show influence each other positively, all serving as examples for the other of committing to make things work, even when things aren't perfect. And as for Raj and his perpetually broken heart, seeing how miserable he stays probably is added encouragement to the couples to keep their relationships going.
As for how my husband influences me, I'd echo Erica in saying that Mr. Lemons is good at helping to put my mind at ease and encouraging me. And I think I do the same for him. He is an only child and is very independent, so I think we've evolved as two relatively independent people, but are united in helping each other through this thing called life.

When my son was a baby, I listened to (selected songs from) the Purple Rain CD in the car so often that one day as "Let's Go Crazy" was coming on, I heard "Dearly Bewoved" uttered quietly from the back seat.

My cynical take:
Leonard helped Penny see that she deserved more than macho jerks who treated her like crap; Penny showed Leonard that persistence can pay off
I don't know what Bernie sees in Howard; Howard's getting bossed around, just like he likes
Amy turned Sheldon into a human being; not sure how Sheldon has helped Amy
Poor Raj - learn from your mistakes buddy
My husband is a rock - when I freak out, he is the calm voice of reason. We have taught each other to see both sides of a situation and to compromise.

I have to amend my previous post to give a serious answer about one of the couples - Bernadette has definitely made Howard a better man, which he freely admits. He is still immature in many ways, but he stopped his pervy ways, thank goodness.

At the least Amy being with Sheldon has introduced and made her a part of a group that have learned to accept her and be her good friends. And she has Besties now. As she once said "I wish I could tell thirteen-year-old me it does get better. " Lets not forget the coitus, Amy won't let Sheldon forget.

I echo the sentiments of those below when it comes to our show couples. Leonard and Penny set the example for the others.
Mrs. Fox is unequivocally the best thing that ever happened to me. As a young man I was a wild, reckless womanizer with a jaded veiw of the world.
She showed me how to love.

Here wondering @Erika and @Lemons if putting your minds at ease is a euphemism for something 🤔
