讨论 The Big Bang Theory

http://tvline.com/2018/01/06/big-bang-theory-ending-final-season-12-johnny-galecki/

Johnny Galecki recently said he thinks season 12 of TBBT will be the final season. However, I have a hard time believing CBS will let the show end so easily. It's still their highest rated show, and CBS has had a tough time finding other well rated comedies to add to their line up. I'm guessing they will probably offer the cast a ton of money to continue past season 12. Either that or I could see them setting up another spinoff with Raj and/or Howard leading.

I will just have to buy you a subscription to the "Pork Chop of the Month Club".

Erica is spot on. This dope is a troll. Just from seeing some of these 'quoted' comments, it's clear his goal is to disrupt, as usual.

He doesn't argue for any reason or to make any real point. He merely argues. He's exhausting because that's his intention as it is with all trolls. So glad I only have to endure him on these rare occasions. It's too bad that TMDB isn't more like Facebook- where when you block someone - you never see them again, and they never see you. But hey, maybe that improvement is on the horizon.

Right, of course, Erica is spot on about me. Let's just ignore how - for one recent example - she was one of those who was wrong about ME being wrong, about Sheldon not really discovering the new element.

And for myself, I love a good burger, but for some reason just slabs of beef hold very little appeal. They never seem to have much flavor, for some reason. My oldest brother always talks about how much he loves prime rib, but I tried it when we went to a fancy restaurant on his most recent visit, and I was totally unimpressed. But I do love a good baked or mashed potato with butter or certain types of gravy. Or a pork chop, or most forms of chicken... On the other hand, I absolutely detest any kind of seafood. Or river-food, or lake-food, or you name it.

You need to try the New York Strip at my favorite local restaurant - I even get it well done and it's still the most flavorful and tender cut of steak I've ever had, with nothing on it. I've also had it at different times with Bordelaise sauce, gorgonzola, and onion straws and it's always delicious. The chef/owner is a magician. meat_on_bone And the potatoes are amazing too! potato

When my brother visits again, should be end of Feb, I can try New York Strip if we go somewhere like that again. Probably Black Angus. But I'll also have some ribs and BBQ chicken on standby, just in case. grin Actually, Black Angus is the only place we've been to where I didn't have to tell THEM what a strawberry chi-chi is.

Maybe. But that seems like something of an assumption that Jim was a star before TBBT, and it was his "star power" that made TBBT popular to start with.

To me what made the show and what kept me interested in the show was the whole cast. That it was an ensemble show and each character contributed something. Now what if Mayim left ? That might be more problematic than losing Jim. No Shamy ?! Of course it can go on and on. look at The Simpsons and yes I know it is animated but still.

Oh Kernixon don't let the haters get you down, not that you are. I feel you are a reincarnated BLT, causing kerfluction no matter what you say. The krypton of the board. I will always be here to kerchhuckle at the kerchaos you kercause.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Did we learn nothing from "Beetlejuice"!?

Or "Bloody Mary," or "Candyman..."

To be safe, just don't say or do anything three times in a row.

Which means, of course, that Sheldon is certainly doomed.

I think people get too hung up on time. "The series has gone on too long..." blah blah blah.

What difference does it make HOW long the show goes on, as long as the audience is enjoying it? If people aren't enjoying it, stop watching. But until then, I'm really not interested in hearing people utter "It's been 12 years - that's too long. It's time to end it." Constantly parroting that or similar statements is just intellectually lazy.

Now, if one or more of them want to move onto other projects, fine. But other than Parsons (and maybe not even him), I doubt any of these actors have a shot at the kind of paydays they are getting right now. So they'd be wise, if money is any kind of object, to continue to do this series.

Once Jim says he's done, the show's done That's always been my take on it. The money or ratings will never be enough of an issue to end it, but a rapid decrease in star power would.

Was looking for the one-year-anniversary-on-TMDb Thread. Ran across this discussion. Nothing like hitting the nail on the head--huh?
