1.Did it seem odd to you that Amy so quickly agreed to take emotion out of the wedding party planning process and use empirical metrics? Isn't she usually the one who balances Sheldon's robotic ways and makes him take people's feelings into consideration?
2.Is it surprising to you that two academics like Sheldon and Amy are getting this into the minutia of their wedding planning?
3.Leonard is Sheldon's best friend and everyone has always known that. Why did he need to test all three guys for the role?
4.Who should have been the one to tell Bernie that Amy chose Penny? Amy or Penny? (Penny ended up having to.)
5.Not that it matters but neither Bernie nor Penny will be Amy's maid of honor (as stated on the show). However, Penny will be her Matron of Honor. She is married. Wonder why they didn't use that term? Oversight, or because "matron" sounds kind of old?
6.If you could have a code word, what would it be?
Comment: Young Sheldon adds depth to TBBT. When Sheldon was talking about making Georgie his best man last night, I knew exactly who he was talking about, and when he described him, I understood why he said the things he did. I liked it!

I don't think Amy actions or Sheldon's actions were out of character. They've never had to plan a wedding, so the whole process is foreign to them.
If I had a codeword it would be "Casablanca".

4.I think it depends on the situation. For example, when I got married, I did not have a talk with my friends to explain that my sister would be my maid of honor. It was just understood. But in a situation like Amy's, where she has two main friends, one of whom already had her in her wedding, I think an explanation from the bride would be a kind thing to do. Sort of a "you're very important to me, but this is why I chose the other" type conversation.
5.Maybe Chuck chose the word so that Penny would not be associated with an old sounding term. She's still our show hottie, ya know.

Thank you to you, as well, Erica, for answering all of my questions. Hmm, did I use too many commas in that sentence?
1.And when it suits what the writers want to do on the show.
2.Yes, I understand they wanted to do something nicer than a justice of the peace wedding, but they had a ton of stuff on their list to choose, not all of which you have to have at a wedding. I was just surprised they were making it so elaborate, that's all.
3.I agree very much with your first sentence of #3, and that above all, pretty much sums up the answer to #2 and #3.
4.Agree 100%.
5.I know people who use it. Now pass me my dentures.
