Discussão The Big Bang Theory

I'm so glad I stuck with it as it has quickly become one of my favorite shows. Iain Armitage is just perfect as Sheldon and Annie Potts is a delight as MeeMaw. The rest of the cast is great as well, and the writing is top- notch. It is the yin to the Big Bang Theory's yang and just keeps getting better.

I enjoyed the first episode, and maybe it's more popular among people who haven't been following TBBT since the very start. But as someone who's been experiencing Sheldon for over a decade now, I find that quite sufficient.

It got much better since the gambling episode. I'm willing to give it a chance

We've stuck with it and it's improved. Meemaw is a scene stealer.

I'm still watching and enjoying it, although I do need to catch up on the latest episode. Sometimes I do wish I could dig up one of those threads from the old board where I was touting such a show and people thought I was a loo-loo head. Or maybe they thought that for other reasons...

I am wondering, though, how they will handle Sheldon's dad's turn to the dark side (heavy drinking and affairs), or if one of two things will happen:

1.The writers will conveniently "forget" those details so that Young Sheldon will be a ratings success.

2.The writers will show that Sheldon mis-remembered some things/misunderstood. They'd have to be very skilled to successfully pull that off, though.

George's drinking/womanizing and Sheldon's BBT version of things are a big discussion on another board. Timewise, we have a good four to five years before things go bad for Mary and George, so that would give the show some time before they have to deal with that.

As for Sheldon's memory, I myself am not hung up on things being exactly like grown Sheldon says. Memories get fuzzy, even his impressive one, and people often remember things in a way that fits their own personal narrative. Plus, as we know, Sheldon is prone to exaggeration on occasion.

I watched the premiere episode. I liked it more than I thought I would--but, not enough to make the show a habit.

Also, must say, I found the young actor playing Sheldon a delight. Really didn't like him in the trailers, and expected to find his portrayal of character too annoying to watch--but, happy to say I was wrong.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. The boy who plays Sheldon is downright adorable, and a great actor. I'm just going to say it: I think Young Sheldon is a good show! thumbsup
