So we just saw Sheldon and Amy get sick after Sheldons pioneer cooking, which might have been more accurate than we know. We also saw Bernie get the usual pregnancy problems. A few bouts of flues, drunken hangovers etc. Which of these scenes do you remember and thought were accurate or funny? I did like the time when Penny passed on her sickness to Sheldon which kept him from doing something he wanted to do.

When Amy had the flu.

I've had the flu and believe me she looked the part. Plus, that "Rudolph" nose they gave her was on the money!

It kept him from visiting the Hadron Super Collider in Switzerland.

Jim Parsons plays drunk very well. Kaley Cuoco is pretty great at it too. Any time they've gotten sick from overindulging is usually pretty believable.

Melissa Rauch played sick very humorously when Howard returned from space. The congestion and red nose, the passing out while trying to make love with Howard - spot on hilarity!

I do not like any scenes in any show where they pretend to be barfing. Just the mere sound of it makes me nearly follow suit. Since so many of the sick scenes on TBBT have dealt with barfing, I'm going to go with "injured" instead and say my favorite scene was when Penny fell in the shower due to lack of adhesive ducks.

For any who feel this response does not suit, according to Penny, "Injured and drugged is a kind of sick". duck

Injured and ducked or injured and unducked or injured due to the lack of ducks.

If there is one thing they do very right on the show is making it look like the characters are as sick as they say they are, make up, acting and all. That is one reason I didn't care for the Sheldon and Amy getting food sickness. They looked so bad off they almost gave me a contact whatever they had. I also agree on the barfing. thermometer_face

I agree with you and z, I'm not a fan of people getting physically ill on tv. But I can handle it more if it happens off-camera, or we don't actually see it - it's when it's shown in full view that I really can't deal. It's the main reason I won't watch the movie Bridesmaids, and why I stopped watching Family Guy, The Detour, and The Mick. I just can't with shows that rely on that type of gross-out humor.

"Stopped watching the detour"

Say it ain't so Goth, I know there's some gross scenes but don't quit, it's soooooooo good.

LOL I'm sorry, but I can't watch a show when I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for nastiness to occur. Once I can forgive if it's not too terrible, but The Detour went out in a blaze four episodes in. scream

Season 2 is amazing , Goth don't miss out, the gross stuff dissipates in season 2 except for 1 episode.

Season 2 also has one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen on a TV show.
