I enjoyed this episode more than I have most recent ones. More chuckles/laughs, more good jokes...
One problem though. Wasn't Ruchi speaking Hindi? And Raj translated for Howard? Raj has said he never learned Hindi.

I also enjoyed this episode and at one point actually thought to myself, "This really is better than it was". The writing seems stronger, and the lines and quips seem sharper. I'm not sure what language Ruchi was speaking- don't know enough about the languages of India.
EDIT: Thoughts about Bert's Almost Paradise scene at the end?

Ruchi might have been speaking Tamil. The cricket match brought to mind our two old cricket loving posters from the other site long age: Swidgin and Ash. What 80s movie was that song from ? I remember it was Ann Wilson (Heart) and Mike Reno (Loverboy) however. I like Ruchi enough but don't see her with Raj. I think she is bettter than that. Did they imply that they were doing it or was it just a fantasy of Raj's, I hope it was. A woman wants to be wooed.

I was thinking about Ash and Swidgin during that scene. I bet Swidgin would have been so excited to discuss it on here.
I wonder why Raj doesn't try online dating? You know, looking for someone romantic who likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Lemons: But according to "The Pina Colada Song" song. Raj would end up on a date with his own wife who was also looking for pina coladas and champaigne by the dunes of the cape, or whatever the lyrics go on about. So are you saying that Raj might already be married without knowing it ?

I had a feelin' someone might point out the flaw in my logic. I just meant he needs to find someone equally as romantic. You know, someone who reads those novels with Fabio on the cover.
By the way, while in theory it sounds very romantic to make love in the dunes on the cape, I am imagining sand in places where it'll be hard to get out. I hope they brought plenty of blankets.

I'm not sure Raj would know Tamil either, given his background. But since Hindi is far more commonly used in India, it was probably just a mistake for them to throw in a joke that Raj doesn't know it but Sheldon does.
A Woman might want to be wooed, if she's interested in a romantic relationship. Ruchi doesn't seem to want that. She's practical and analytical about her brain chemistry etc, so she probably just figured Raj was sufficiently stimulating and off they went.

Have you ever thought that it is not about Raj wooing Ruchi ? What about me ? I am the one who wants to be wooed into another tedious Raj affair. If the show took more consideration into my feelings and less about Raj and Ruchi then things would be all right.
I am the injured party here and don't you forget it

Ah, but Raj did try online dating - he and Stuart signed up at the same time. Raj abandoned it because he wasn't getting any takers and just felt more rejected. Poor Raj!

Oh yeah! I knew I was forgetting something! If we could only find a way for Raj to meet his fellow hopeless-romantic-non-commitment-phobe-star-crossed-dream-come-true lover! Someone so special that not only he, but the whole audience falls in love with her!
Raj will find love before this series ends!
Followed by a dramatic flop onto my bed.

Did anyone else think it was wrong for Raj to say that Stuart should "bow out" regarding Ruchi, and then when some deathly-pale white girl comes along, she's all his? Because really, Raj would want HER, too.
