Did anyone else expect to hear Neil Diamond instead of Neil Sedaka ? Not that there is anything wrong with "Calendar Girl", it's just I just expected Diamond. Although I am glad that it wasn't. I wonder if next time Amy has a song break it will be Neil Young or Neil Armstrong ?

I wonder if the point was that they both like Neils, or just to throw the audience a curveball, or maybe somehow they couldn't get the rights to more Neil Diamond? Or they just thought Calendar Girl would be more fun for them?

Who was she singing with?

I remember an episode with a scavenger hunt and Amy & Howard (right?) were singing 'Sweet Caroline'.

Did you not see the episode? Amy and Howard were singing along - and dancing a bit - to "Calendar Girl" in her lab.

Nope. But this thread reminded me of their duet to 'Sweet Caroline'.

Now they need to go crazy over a Rush song featuring a Neil Peart drum solo to complete the Neil series.

And im glad it wasn't Sweet Caroline because I really hate that song.

Perhaps next time it will be Neil deGrasse Tyson and Marilyn McCoo singing "You Don't Have to Be a Star Baby (But If You Are They'll Study You in the Astrophysics Department at Cal Tech)".

Followed by a rousing rendition of "Sandcastles in the Sand" with Neil Patrick Harris

Too bad Brian May's middle name isn't Neil. It's Harold. Dang it!

Come to think of it "Calendar Girl" was used in an icky sex scene in "Deadpool"

No scene with Ryan Reynolds could be icky.

Actually, I wasn't concerned that it wasn't Neil Diamond. Rather just disappointed that it wasn't "Laughter in the Rain". I love that song so.

Okay song, but could they dance to it?

OKAY??? Kernixon, this song makes me want to go laughing and twirling in circles through a park. In the rain. And while I suppose they could not dance "traditionally" to "Laughter in the Rain", they, too, could have twirled in circles of glee through Amy's lab, provided they did not knock down her shadily-expensed Colombian coffee brewer.
