Since now Sheldon and Amy are engaged, none of that part is likely to happen.

And a vasectomy for Howard is at least 4 months too late now (since they skipped ahead 3 months at the end of the season premiere). But there might be something about that shortly before or after their second child is born (i.e., when Melissa Rauch gives birth).

That said, though, the simple mathematical reality is that each woman needs to have 2 children just to keep a population stable. (A couple has two children to replace BOTH of them, not just ONE of them.) Even if you started out with a trillion people, if each couple only has one child, after X number of years you end up with one person, who dies alone. And then nobody. But of course there's no "comedy" if Howard and Bernadette were actually okay with having kids. They could even make some more jokes from that. Bernadette and/or Howard tell Leonard and Penny and/or Sheldon and Amy, "Hey we're doing our part to keep humanity going! When are you two/four going to pick up your slack? Do you expect us to have your kids too?"

Amy? She would have to be drunk or something, and Amy doesn't seem to drink that much. If at all, at least when she's not with Penny and/or Bernadette.

And regarding the vasectomy, since the horse is already out of the barn, there's really no reason for them to discuss that for at least another 8 months. Unless Bernadette is thinking Howard might get someone else pregnant before then.

I do like Amy and Raj together but everything now points to Amy and Sheldon getting married. Now if Penny got pregnant or at least had a pregnancy scare and thought she was pregnant then Leonard would have the vasectomy. I think we are stuck with what we have. Too bad because the show needs some fresher ideas right now. Maybe they are on their way. Good try though !

Naw, Leonard wants kids. I suspect if Penny flat out refused to have even one, Leonard might leave her, or at least check into a surrogate or something.

This sets up a great plot line with lots of character development and opportunities for jokes. Literally did a much better job than the writers of the show in a single comment.

Sounds like the fast track to cancellation. There's no reason for Amy to get with Raj. The show is already looking at two kids, we don't need more.

And what happens if Howard gets snipped and the Melissa Rauch gets pregnant again in future seasons? Now we either have a botched vasectomy plot or Bernadette is a cheater plot .

Too many things can go wrong here.
