Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Disney is working on a series of Live action versions of some of their biggest hits, Lion King, Mulan, Alladin and others.

Alladin is probably my favorite Disney film overall so I'm looking forward to it most. They've already casted the leads:http://collider.com/upcoming-live-action-disney-movies-release-dates/

Aladin is in my top 5 for sure but I'm worried about the casting. Robin Williams' performance is what made that movie. The guy who plays the genie on Broadway plays him too prima Donna for my tastes.

I'm hearing Will Smith and Kevin freaking Hart being thrown around , which is proof they have no clue who to cast.

Have you not see the live action "Beauty and the Beast" yet ? It is the rare film where I can truly say that the best thing about it is Josh Gad. Everything is CGI'd to oblivion, including the Beast who just needed makeup and a wig. It does remain visually faithful to the animated original but stops there. Unnecessary back story involving the plague of all things and Belle father is way too serious. The Beast even sings a new song that sounds like a reject from Le Miz. Gaston is equally dull and should have been played by Bruce Campbell, way bigger chin you know. Cogsworth, Lumiere, etc are just distractingly weird. Take in any high school production or a grade school Beauty and the Beast Jr. for a better time. This is just a money grab for Mouse and company. Is Pixar next?

I want to see the live action Cars movies! That should be amusing.

I never bothered to watch the live action Beauty and the Beast because I don't particularly like the story, plus I heard it wasn't any good.

And Znex, my dear ,everything Disney does is a money grab. These remakes are just a soon coming surge of nostalgia that will contribute to merchandise profits skyrocketing for the years that follow. Ive read they have several dozen live action films in the works , some original and some remakes.

I think you should see a live action therapist who records his diagnoses in passive aggressive"quotes" in odd "places" where the sane and literate don't tend to use "them".

Why should I accept any criticism, let alone some kind of "diagnosis," from someone who was sure she never wanted to get married, until, oh, a few days ago? Someone who obviously knows so little about themself, has no credibility.

You still have a couple decades of growing-up ahead of you, before you could have anything valid to say to me NOW. And of course, by then, I'll still be a couple decades ahead of you so it will still be no-go.

There were several years between that marriage conversation from imbd and yesterday, but I can see why the "decades" you haughtily brag about may have skewed your perception of "time", "credibility" and ability to use "quotes" like an adult who has visited remedial English.

And what does "marriage " have to do with you "writing" like a twit?

Me too. Since we already had "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice " how about "Cars V Transformers: Dawn of ...."

Sorry I can't think of a good word to follow Dawn.

Note: The quotes in this post are merely there to set off the movie titles from the rest of the sentence.

I forgot that Disney put out a live action "Jungle Book" too. For the record my favorite Disney remake, way before now, is the 1997 "That Darn Cat" with Christina Ricci and Doug E. Doug, which is just as good as the 1965 original with Halley Mills and Dean Jones, not to mention the original book by The Gordons.

I had no idea "Elements Of Style" was actually your work. So, William Strunk Jr. and E. B. White is your non de plume, and you're actually well over 100 years old. Who would have guessed? And you waited until age 148 to get engaged, now that's what I call patience!

(But I'm pretty sure you never had a chance with Chris Pratt, since he's 110 years younger than you.)
