Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Of course he waits until I get engaged to become single ๐Ÿ˜

In all seriousness, they were one of the Hollywood couples I thought would last, two people who come across very genuine and humble ,very sad to hear.

I can't believe I missed this - are you really engaged? If you aren't just messing with us, then congratulations Miss Queen! bride_with_veil_tone1 bouquet ring

Yup it's true, I got engaged on my birthday last week to my boyfriend of 5 years. He took a chance on asking and I took a chance on saying yes.

I didn't want to draw too much attention with a very off topic "announcement" so I thought I'd subtely mention it and hope people would browse over it ๐Ÿ˜.

Now I'll await the chorus of " I told you sos".

grin Nah, I'll go easy on you - we've all been there before, absolutely sure of something until we aren't anymore, lol! Congrats again and keep us posted - planning a wedding is equal parts fun and stressful, but thank goodness for the internet, which is loaded full of information and resources. Just don't let anyone tell you that you can't do this or you have to do that - your wedding, your choice!

So not only are you engaged but had the same boyfriend for 5 years ! Well I hope you remember the ton of advise and comments you got in all those marriage discussion on the old IMDB. Congratulations again to you and your lovey dovey.

I'm embarrassed to admit I was saddened by this news... Hollywood news usually doesn't phase me at all. I guess there was something about them as a couple that made me root for them to make it. It just shows that you never really know what goes on behind closed doors. Latest news says they separated over disagreements in family plans (she wants more kids and he doesn't) and religion. I hope cheating was not involved. That would be a shame.

If it is, no doubt, a "Tabroid" will sniff it out in no time.

I know that actors have to put on a "public face"; but, seeing them togetherโ€”they really did look like a nice fit--comfortable and compatible.

If that's true, I would say that makes it her fault. One shouldn't break up a marriage/family because of wanting more kids... to what, be a single mother to? In addition to the kids that already lost their live-in father? That seems very selfish.

**Eight years seems a decent run **in showbiz today. Still seems like they will get along well after the split.

Which one of them gets custody of Groot ?

Starting to seem like one of the longer ones. Can't help but think about "Cuoco" and her countdown-clock marriage to "Sweeting". (Of course, the record to beat still belongs to "Britney"-and-"Jason": 55 Hours.)

Countdown clock marriage is the perfect description. The fact that she once dated Galecki still boggles the mind.

Around here, seems like you should be careful what you put in "quotes." At least to some people that seems to be some kind of bizarre "dog whistle."

Considering the limited text-enhancement options (no offense Team Travis) on this site, surely by now most(?) posters must realize that all their fellow posters are doing by using (โ€œโ€œ) is trying to punch-up their writing a tad.

Still, expect there will always a few who read all such posts with a "hammer in hand".

This site has an italic and bold feature, that aren't at all difficult to use.

And yet you used quotes in your original post subject.

OT: Chris Pratt and Anna Farris 'legally separating"

How very passive-aggressive of you. Have you mentioned that to your therapist?

I think part of it is the fact that his star has grown so immensely she couldn't deal with it. He got super hot and probably has hangers on and women vying for his attention everywhere , starlets and fangirls alike.

That could drive a stake in any relationship, especially one with issues to begin with. He even admitted on a podcast that he used to be less famous when thier relationship started and it affected them when he got more popular.

Right, before he got famous, he probably felt like Anna's Boyfriend, if you get my drift. I don't know how much fun that would be.

.... Except I used it correctly to Quote a goddamn article I got the info from. You use it whenever you feel like it, whether it makes sense or not. Then again, nothing you do tends to fall in the vicinity of sense.

Whether you're prattling about feminism or giving us unwanted insight into your weird political leanings.

Do yourself a favor and quit while you're behind.

But see, you're not the expert who gets to decide what other people mean by quotes or anything else. Your mind-reading skills just aren't up to the job, Padawan. You don't get to decide that you using quotes is because you read it someplace, but when someone else uses quotes - maybe especially about something that yanks some other psychological chain you've got - it ipso facto must be offensive, and probably deliberately so, because... well, just Because. Or maybe some class or book on political correctness or whatever, told you so. And you still haven't explained how I could have been downplaying or ridiculing "emotional abuse" when I said right from the start and in that same post that that was what made Roseanne a worse wife than Ralph Kramden was a husband.

While you're at it, tell us why the owners of the Washington Redskins or any similar example, want their teams to be named after something they disparage, ridicule, etc. That should be good for a(nother) laugh. Then try your hand at why there's still the United Negro (offensive word) College Fund, or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored (offensive word) People. White people didn't name either of those organizations, and I'm unaware of any white people insisting the names not be changed.

Maybe sometime later, when both of their acting careers have wound down, they'll get back together.

Because that's not what you did , Sherlock. I didn't read your mind or misrepresent anything, I responded to what you wrote. In the middle of your Roseanne dissertation you went off on barely related tangent harping on what "most women" do then added your "quotes" around key terms . One doesn't need clairvoyance to see intent, no matter how much you whine and deny what's clear as day.

And it's no one's fault you can't get through so much as four lines without saying something ridiculous, or showing us the "tells" that make you a uniquely ignorant person.

Your last paragraph made me laugh the most, you just can't help yourself. You need a radio show or a podcast so you can spout your crazy to the like-minded and equally simple-minded.
