Anyone from IMDB have a site that is more active, like the old IMDB boards used to be? This site is okay, but it seems as though the people from IMDB have scattered across the internet. I miss the days of a very active TBBT board, and other active boards. Are there any other good, or better, options? Thanks!

I never frequented the TBBT board on IMDb but there are at least 111 different discussions about the show, some busier than others.

Before the boards on IMDB closed down some posters put up lists of alternate sites. I have them somewhere and its a pretty long list all together I haven't been to them however. Yes this site is okay and not too many on it compared to IMDB. It is also summertime so no new shows to talk about now. I recall that a site called sitcomsonline was mentinoned. REddit is okay too.

Yes I'm hoping when the show starts up again some of the regulars will return. This board is pretty user-friendly and if we can get more people on, there's no reason it can't be just as active as IMDB. No real way to make that happen as individuals though. I think maybe some of the original converts got a bit put off by the lack of activity - I almost gave up at one point, but knowing that some of my favorite posters were here, I found myself coming back.
It's also a shame that many of the other show boards are really slow. One of the best things about IMDB was how active most of the forums were, even shows that have been gone for years. The How I Met Your Mother, Frasier and Golden Girls boards were still quite active.

This board, TBBT, is one of the more active boards out here. But many others are DOA.
I still hate IMDB for not only ending the message boards, but deleting years with of valuable information. I NEVER go to that site anymore. I find I visit Wikipedia more often and get the same info.

Yes.
Even missing some of the posters from the old Board whose “two-cents-worth” I often founding maddening.
Now, pretty sure that if they showed up on this Board, instead of
every time I see one of their posts, I would be
.
Lord what fools these mortals be--to have use “Ignore” so liberally.

There was even this floppy eared fellow that I kind of miss. Well maybe kind of miss.

The posters have dispersed too much for any those boards to be to as active as imbd was. REDDIT is the only site that EXCEEDS how active that board was. And if you get on Reddit you will enjoy the baseball forum, full of baseball die hards.
I highly recommend you join the Detroit Tigers subreddit.

This site has some nice features and some advantages, but I find it slower to get around than imdb was. And with less unique content for each episode of a series. Hopefully that will improve over time.

I don't miss that Rabbit arse one bit.

Hopefully he and BLT/BTT/etc are keeping each other company far, far away from the rest of civilization.

IMDB also had a ton of people who would drop in and out of it. There was this Lemons thread I recall about favorite posters that stopped coming around and which ones did people miss. There were a lot of names of interesting people who left IMDB way before IMDB left us. I also liked the occasional one or two time poster who would start an interesting thread just once or twice. I do have to say that all the craziness that IMDB invited is pretty much absent from here.

AND
I have been debating about whether or not to come back here and say anything further, because it's not my style to come to message boards to be confrontational, but after being upset enough a couple of days ago to remove my posts promising to increase traffic on the board, and in an effort to be a good friend, I will say this one thing:
Anyone who truly took the time to pay attention to what Rabbit was fighting for on the old board would see as easily as I did that he had the highest integrity of just about anyone there. He was kind to those who were kind and he called those on the carpet whose behavior was hypocritical or nasty. I feel very privileged that he considers me a friend, and we were all privileged to have him on our board.
I suspect I'll step away for a while, but maybe when the season starts back I'll come back around. I hope that it will be a great one with lots of good things to talk about.

Me and him had our bouts, some really heated ones to say the least, but when the ship was going down I told him he was still one of my favorite posters.
When I used to go back to read our exchanges some of them were legendary and hilarious.

Don't really remember this poster in any detail; but do know that they were NOT one of my “Ignorebees”.
I know not putting someone on “Ignore” is no automatic testament to their “posting character” since what’s sharp and amusing to one reader could be distasteful and insulting to another.
I say this because another poster on the old Board who was a mega-hate-generator among other posters was actually one of my favorite people to read.
So, either I had no problem with this Rabbit person’s TCW, or if I did—I simply stop reading them.
Anyway:
--For me "Ignore" (or ire) is strictly for insult-the-poster types…NEVER for beat-the-hell-out-of-my-post types.
Also:
--I would never smear a fellow poster (by name, anyway
)--who I know isn't here to "fight back".)
