Sheldon to Amy, as she left for Princeton: "If you find yourself working with a scientist who's as smart as me, as tall as me and has hair like Thor, well, then I want you to step away from the situation and call me immediately."
That was Sheldon's criteria for stoppage of the situation and contacting (or in his case visiting) the other immediately.
1.Ramona is a scientist who is as smart as Amy.
2.Ramona is not only "as tall as" Amy, she is even taller.
So now we know.

Hahaha, yes, Sheldon was taking his own advice...he needed to nip this nonsense in the bud and nail down Amy so that there is no doubt that that she is off the market for good.

That's interesting, I took it as a reference to Natalie Portman's scientist character in the Thor movie. Where she was romanced, by... Thor!
Sheldon has no doubt seen that movie more than once, and could easily fear some Thor-like man taking his scientist sweetheart from him.
As for Amy, if it were me, I'd use a modified Howard line: "The market was just here. The market said no."

In Sheldon's statement, the Thor-like person was a scientist. Besides, I'm not sure I'm crazy about Natalie Portman. First she was chosen to play opposite Thor instead of me, plus she played Princess I'mADollar in Star Wars and was all monotone and stuff. The kicker will be this: Does Ramona own a large hammer?

Well, I'm pretty sure Sheldon wouldn't be worried about Amy meeting a real god from Asgard.
