So when the blonde kissed Sheldon, how awesome would it have been for him to respond by kissing her right back! And then have the show end that way with him kissing her.
Instead they chose a very typical, boring, lame ending.

Yes, but they missed the ending where it would have been like pulling 10 Rabbits out of the hat!
Again, simply put, when the gorgeous blonde kissed Sheldon, he should have had a wtf! moment and suddenly/miraculously discovered he had a libido!!!
And this could have led to an awesome love triangle with Amy and the blonde. That would finally put some life into the show!

Well, maybe. But a lot of people don't think Sheldon should even have ONE girlfriend, let alone two. Because they should have just let him stay asexual, and if the roles were reversed a male Amy doing to a female Sheldon what female Amy did to male Sheldon would have been considered harassment or "assault" or worse. And so on.

Agreed, I would have preferred Sheldon stay unique and asexual!! Rather than go down the same tired path into marriage like Leonard and Howard, and have these more boring plots.
So do one or the other - dump Amy and stay asexual, or become hetero and learn that you want to play the field first.
But please, not the same old marriage copout.

I think the biggest problem Amy has with Sheldon is that she isn't really unique to him. He said that he gets great comfort from waking up in the morning with her always there, but for him it could be the same if it was one of those cats with "a cute Jewish name," or maybe even that Batman statue. For Sheldon it's all about the routine. The details of the routine are largely irrelevant. And Amy should know that. Basically she - or anyone else - is easily replaced in Sheldon's routine.
Meanwhile, Ramona admires him/his work more than Amy does. So if anything, the routine of waking up every morning with someone in the bed who admires him/his work as much as Ramona does, would be far more satisfying to him.

I agree with advancing that plotline too,,,having something develop with Sheldon and Ramona.
That would be a fresh and exciting development.

For dramatic/comedic purposes of the show, they could get some mileage from that. But from the way Sheldon has been portrayed so far, it doesn't seem like either of them would "mean" as much to him as they might think or hope. And so if they were to "fight" for/over him, all they could be able to "win" would be taking the position of a current cog in his routine machine.
And in any objective sense, Amy should come out the loser in any significant competition. Maybe if it were Amy versus Penny or something, Amy could pull out a victory in terms of brains. But Ramona seems to be Amy's intellectual equal, plus she's also a PHYSICIST while Sheldon still derides Amy's career of working with "grey squishy stuff," and Ramona is way better looking too. In addition to which she adores Sheldon in ways that Amy only tolerates, while giving him "special juice" so he sleeps all through a plane flight, taffy so he'll be quiet, etc.

The problem is the writers are damned if they do, damned if they don't. How much complaining has there been regarding Leonard and Penny's relationship not doing anything? How many years did we whine about Raj not being able to talk to women? How many times did we complain how much of a bitch Bernadette was?
They bring in Amy and people complained she was a female Sheldon. Then they complained about her obsession with Penny, and now they're complaining about this.
Sometimes I think the writers should just tell the fans what they can go do with themselves. The fact is some things work, some don't. That's how a sitcom is. Even Saturday Night Live had more misses than hits, even with the original cast.

A big part of the problem, though, is that even SNL was doing mostly totally new stuff every week. Except for bits that came back more than once, they didn't have to care even a little about consistency. Meanwhile, the BBT writers have put themselves into many corners by just coming up with something funny without any forethought or afterthought and not thinking anyone would care if they wrote something the exact opposite next week, or next month, or next year. But a lot of their watchers DO care.
It might seem like going too far by suggesting why don't they next week just have Howard and Penny married and Leonard and Amy married and Sheldon and Bernadette married, because they thought of some great joke that works best that way; then go back to "normal" the following week. But really, once they go down those roads it's all just a matter of degree, not of kind.

What if they reversed it? Amy finds out they kissed, flies back to Pasadena and punches the blondes lights out. Or somebody comes on to Amy and Sheldon has to respond to that.

Right on Tim,,,those are great endings as well which would then directly lead to either Amy or Sheldon being in an exciting love triangle! Would definitely turn up the juice and invigorate the show!!
But let me guess, they are now going to have Sheldon follow in the same footsteps as Leonard and Howard towards marriage. What a snooze-fest this same old, same old is becoming.
Wake up writers!!!

There's still some hope, since Amy hasn't answered yet. But what they've done up to this point isn't very encouraging.
But really, aside from anything else possibly involving Ramona or what-not, Amy should realize that being MARRIED to Sheldon is pretty much guaranteed to be even more difficult than just living with him. Many people like to claim that Sheldon has "grown" and "matured" etc, but so much of his Season 10 behavior is still right out of Season ONE.
By all rights, Amy should turn him down, at least until a whole lot - perhaps two seasons worth? - of actual, non-redacting change on Sheldon's part. Which he may easily be incapable of, and so in the end they don't get married.

Yeah, I don't mind the suggestion of two seasons worth of relationship unfulfillment. But pretty please, fill the huge void with exciting, creative plots involving one or both of them in love triangles.

But they've already been down that road, going all the way back to when Amy dated Stuart. Sheldon and Amy have already broken up once. Throwing any more obstacles in their path just smacks of unnecessary drama. I'm all for more exciting scripts, but throwing other love interests into the mix isn't the only way to do that. Sheldon being interested in another woman would make no sense at all. And Amy has already seen what's out there - she wants Sheldon.

We've never been down the path of Sheldon all of a sudden discovering he has a libido (!) though. Thats what I suggested in the original post and would lead to hilarity.

Hmmm, y'know, it's at least possible that Ramona kissing him wouldn't have had any serious effect, if he didn't.
