no one seem to remember the way Ramona was before?

A lot of people watching now, probably didn't see that.

I do. And I did not like her. However (now a most likely unpopular opinion): I kind of liked her in this episode. She seemed sweeter (a lot sweeter than back then) and was even kind of cute (although she could eat something).

Well, so far she didn't behave like before. But she seemed nicer the first time, too, before actually "getting her hooks into" Sheldon. Then she started being controlling.

Since she's a Dr now too, maybe her attitude would have been better. I suppose we'll never know, unless she goes after Raj next or something.

On the other hand, as I put earlier on a different thread, I don't think she's aged as well as Kaley has.

This is just my opinion but could be a spoiler: I actually believe we'll see more of her. As far as Sitcoms usually go I'm fairly sure Amy will either say no or "I don't know" or in the vein of "Not yet". Sheldon and Amy might break up for a while and Nowitzki will try to win him over but eventually lose against Amy. Amy and Sheldon will marry by the end of season 11. As said: my personal opinion on how it might go on but it would be a typical storyline for a Sitcom.

Maybe. But the real-world issue of Mayim's contract not being resolved until recently, and recent-past examples such as Leonard's and Penny's relationship agreement not being mentioned since the episode it was created in... I wouldn't be surprised if Nowitzki isn't seen again, even if Amy does put Sheldon off for a while because of her interference just in this one episode.

The finale looks actually being made with the idea in mind that her contract would be extended. They might have taped two endings though (other shows did that). I don't think a simple "no" at the end would have been the last thing she would have said or done before she got the boot. And Nowitzki coming in and changing all that in one episode would have also not worked.

Thinking about that: Maybe they already pre-taped Amy's answer for the next season's opener. You know - just in case. But it's all just guessing. We'll see what happens but I wouldn't mind a little cat fight... ;)

For someone like Sheldon with his "special circumstances" as his mother put it, it might be somewhat different in that situation too. But in a real-world situation for normal people, I don't get the value of "fighting for" another person's affection. If they're that uncertain, then somehow "fighting" or "dragging" them to your side does not seem likely to end up in a good solid relationship.

Yes, I wondered why Penny acted like she didn't know what Ramona looked like. I remember a scene in the hallway from the first Ramona episode when Ramona asked Penny to be "sisters". I'd have a hard time forgetting that.

Leonard, Howard, and Raj were pretty aware of Ramona before too. She didn't want Sheldon playing video games or paintball with them, etc. But last night they were just "Didn't she used to follow Sheldon around?"

well the show has been on awhile, perhaps senility has set in?

I suspect a lot of it is attributable to the original Ramona episode being several years ago now. A lot of people have started watching more recently, and haven't bothered to go back and see all of the previous episodes. Arguably they should have done more to establish how she had been at that time, but maybe they just couldn't fit it into only 18 minutes of real episode time now. It seems to me that one or two flashbacks might have been sufficient.

Most of the craziness they saw was simply Sheldon not playing videogames with them or going to paintball because he was in the middle of that big project. Only he got to see the majority of her cuckoo behavior. It wouldn't surprise me if Sheldon blew them off on a number of occasions previously. Certainly the flashback episode would agree with that.

That's a fair point. Although while I'd have to watch the episode again to be sure, I think the others did see some other things like her giving him a pedicure. And, Sheldon being Sheldon, he wouldn't have held back from telling them WHY he couldn't play paintball with them, or go to a movie or whatever: "Ramona says I can't waste my time on frivolous things." But they still wouldn't have been privy to as much as the audience saw.

They remembered. Leonard asked about her being **that grad **student who stalked (or some such) Sheldon before.

Also, it' been awhile; and it's not as if she is someone they saw very often (or have seen in years). It's not as if they worked with her, knew her very well, or were around her for very long. There is no reason for them to remember her, as such. Maybe, as a Sheldon-related anyone-remember-that-grad-student...cautionary-tale.

I can see the guys not remembering her in detail (who, but Sheldon, is likely to keep up with the nuances of EVERY person everyone in the gang ever encountered since they've become a group). But, I can't figure out why Sheldon embraced her this second time around...instead of "running for cover".

It must be because of her admiration for him. Like when he said to Amy, pretty much an exact quote, "Those times when you worship me, really tilt the balance in your favor (of being his girlfriend)."
