The Wire or The Shield?

Which do you prefer? Critical consensus is The Wire is better but I slightly prefer The Shield. The Wire is probably a bit more intelligent but The Shield is more fun. Though I love them both. I'll post this on both shows forums.

I believe The Shield and The Wire were unfairly compared. I feel they're really different shows at their core.
