Fitz' recovery arc question (potential spoilers if you're on the early seasons still)

For quite some time Fitz was shown as suffering from the after effects of lack of oxygen. He did seem to be making some slow progress to recovery, but then he seemed cured overnight. Did I drop off and miss something?
