I lost a lot of interest in the show when the Whisperers became its focus too. Boring, boring, boring stuff. Not even its turn into the Pamela/Princess/Commonwealth (?) subject matter could bring me back for too long.

Yep.

I was rooting for "Rick's Group" and wanted to see them survive, win, find peace and safety.

But they just kept killing off beloved characters and adding new ones, and I couldn't keep reinvesting in new people while the ones I'd invested in were taken away.

I also got tired of them never addressing or getting to the bottom of what the hell really happened. I mean, the CDC was soooo long ago, and helicopters teased us clearly that somewhere, there was some vestiges of civilization that remained. But who, where, how... If the answers came in the latter seasons, perhaps I'll find out, but, they took far too long for me to have stuck around to havw found out.

Of course... obviously, I'm not the only viewer who had an issue with the show's makers doing this kind of thing.

Yeah, I would've wanted that little teaser addressed with the helicopters flying around, for sure. I can hardly believe they didn't do that.
