I just read that Danai is leaving TWD, most likely due to her commitment to the MCU, in season 10. If she is leaving, I wonder how they will write off the Michone character? If she leaves, that would leave Carol and Daryl as the legacy characters.

Technically, Carol and Daryl were prior to Michonne. However that would make them the last two legacy characters from season 1, Michonne didn't arrive until Season 3. Forgive me, the seasons start to run together after awhile, I am not even sure what year it is on this series.
