讨论 الموتى السائرون

I am not sure what the big threat is. These are people dressed as dead people. Their only "power" is that they can move freely among the real dead and not get eaten. The fact they are not truly dead makes it easier to kill them as you do not have to go for a head shot each time. Maybe they can fool you a few times but not forever. The living will adjust. You can still kill them with an arrow or sword to the head. I fail to see what the "horror" and "terror" of them is about other than the initial unpreparedness we see in the mid season finale.

Not to mention "disguising" yourself as public enemy #1....

The way they talk about them on the butt kissing show "Talking Dead" is ridicules. These are Saviors in meat suits lead by a psychotic who happens this time to be female. They have no weapons (that we have seen so far). If they could mind control the actual living dead into forming a massive horde and attack Hilltop then that would be something!

I'm really curious to see how this works....

They are at great risk without a hordes

what, they "undress" to eat and sleep?

they have to stay in close proximity to a horde in order to take advantage of it? otherwise they are at risk.

what? they carry a backpack around with food and clothes to change in and out?

How exactly do they steer a horde around?

How exactly do they manage to accomplish anything while disguised without being "discovered" either by a Walker or by a survivor?

while we have seen that walkers get "lucky" once in a while with a bite (and most of those are ridiculous), they are essentially a non-threat in 99% of circumstances and traditionally they have a high "mortality" rate, so what is the advantage of becoming one?

surviving intelligent man will always have the advantage and power to steer a horde (with noises, vehicles, arms etc.) over some kind of bogus "creep among them types - unless there is some kind of supernatural power we have to buy in to.

honestly.....

I have rarely read the comic and have not read in them about The Whisperers but would like to see how they originally were depicted as we know it will differ on the show. Maybe in the comic there was more to them than humans dressed as Walkers. The only advantage to that is accessing warehouses of supplies that have been over run. Maybe tyhjat was it, and the cemetery is their turf? But why then make a big deal out of Eugene and Rosita? As far as they knew this was just another horde of walkers walking. If they had left them alone nothing would have come from the accidental encounter

That's just it. If they can lead the dead to attack actual places, then the "good guys" may have major problems in the future.

The dead are driven by hunger and lead by sound. Not like the fakes can turn and say "Hey lets go this way" without being eaten. Maybe they have a system of a "dead Morse code" that leads them but does not call attention to themselves? I dunno... just hope the second half does not fall into the Scott Gimple Stupidity Pit "Fear" fell into (no explanations or a awful one like crazy lady's reason for being crazy). Kang may be the show runner but he still is boss of the boss. Surprised Kirkman, the comic creator, has stayed on so long tolerating him!

I know that the Whiperers are taken from the novels, but let's face it, they are stupid characters. Yes, suspension of disbelief is necessary in a story about zombies but come on. How do the logistics work? Do they have a Walker skin making factory? Wouldn't it be difficult to sew a Walker skin suit, as the skin would presumably be fragile? Do they run a Walker skin making sweatshop? Do they live as walkers all the time? What would even be the point of living like that?

I'm wondering about The Whisperers as well. What's the threat? The only threat is IF they can lead hordes of walkers against the communities. So far they haven't really shown them as being able to do that. One thing that the girl prisoner said though stood out to me. She said that the walled communities never last. So I'm hoping these Whisperers can lead huge hordes against the communities. Tear down those walls and get these people moving again. The show has basically been boring as hell since our group arrived in Alexandria.
