They have become tiresome. Should be clear in show time, almost two years, that they are not fit for the world Rick envisions. The old lead a horse to water analogy. As John Lennon sang in "All You Need is Love"; "No one you can save that can't be saved". So just ditching the whole lot, either killing them or evicting them to fend for themselves, would be a great relief.
