Carl!!!!
I figured with the way that they hyped the "shocker" in the show that one of Rick's kids might bite it. However, TWD tends to stall characters' deaths for later, like with Abraham, who was supposed to have the medical chick Denise's death.
I found out that Judith died in the comicbook TWD when the Governor stormed the prison... so I kind of had a feeling that she might actually die in tonight's episode. Instead... we've been shown that Carl's going to die from a walker bite.
Thoughts?

I've been expecting Carl's death for a while now. It solves a number of problems for the show. Biggest one is that Carl is aging too fast. Chandler Riggs is in college, could be difficult to write around that. Also the karma thing. Judith was killed in the comics and Carl is still alive, so the show has reversed it. I was half expecting him to be Negan's victim in S7 premiere.

The showrunner made a silly remark about " Carl had to die, so that Negan lives".

I heard that and threw up in my mouth a little bit. First of all, by what logic? Second, and more importantly, AYFKM? Is there a single fan out there who would say Carl should die so Negan can live, I mean seriously, even one? In the moment I was shocked, but as time goes on I get more and more outraged that they are killing off Carl. He has always represented the future, so killing him is like saying, sorry folks, no future for you. Carl's death might be my last episode.

It didn't look like a zombie bite. It looked a little to clean and on top of that I think they're basically doing a tease more than anything.

I hope you are right. They definitely played like Carl saying a zombie bite. Gimple was somewhat vague, but said it will play out like zombie bites do. Andrew Lincoln is talking about Chandler's last episode, so I think it's a bite. I guess it could be another Glen under the garbage can moment.

This is what Gimple the Pimple means , I think : Rick will learn forgiveness , as he remembers Carl's words about "the afterwards". He will come to accept the wisdom of Carl's compassion and permit Negan to live .🙄

IDK, I think it looked like a walker bite.

Oh, I agree. After the walker bite reveal, it was blatantly obvious that Carl's words were foreshadowing a reconciliation with Negan. I still don't have to like it.
Gimple the Pimple, I love it. I CANNOT stand him. That lameass attempt at a hipster beard, the self important demeanor, he has ruined this show.

He has definitely ruined the show. He wrote a few good episodes when he first came on. Sadly, he is all out of creative juice.
