He has become a liability to the group. His character arc is played out. Just kill him off with a big death scene, let the Daryl fans riot, and move on.

Daryl is one of the longest surviving characters on the show. His experience is most likely a boon to the group.

I still think Daryl is the most interesting character on the show. They need to get rid of Maggie and Michonne instead.

He's a boring character, his fanbase has died down, and the actor is moving on to other things. Kill him off now to benefit from the media frenzy.

Daryl being a boring character is your opinion. Daryl is moving toward the "dark side," and frankly, that's good character development. Reedus has moved on to "Ride With Norman Reedus," a show for AMC that only has about 5 shows per season. He can go on doing TWD.

Daryl was indirectly responsible for Glen's death. Now he is directly responsible for the failure of Rick's plan. He and Tara. I say kill him off.

After this last episode, I think, they tried to make etxtra sure, nobody thought Daryl was to blame for the escape. How many times was it mentioned, it was not his fault???? Jeez...

Daryl is not even a character anymore. He is like fuckin Chewbacca! He had like 10 lines in these past 8 episodes for fucks sake. Also he lookslike a full blown alcoholic with all that fat on his face. Just kill the idiot already.

I know, right?! Remember when Daryl first told everyone that, to put a walker down permanently, they had to kill the brain? He'd been a leader from the beginning, the writers have ruined his character.
I'd rather they restore what we originally loved about him. He's been a trusted lieutenant to Rick. Would like to see that relationship flourish in this challenge...or the next challenge to come...

Good points. He's somehow absolved of accountability for his impetuousness. Not sure why, nor am I clear on why the writers have done that with his character.
I'm not quite ready to see that happen...but if it did, no doubt these points you raised could justify it.

No to both, in my opinion.

Maggie showed herself to be a savvy leader who is willing to do what it takes by going along with Simon until she could use the Savior prisoners as bargaining chips. She gets to stay. My only quibble is, why didn't she kill the d-head?
Badass Michonne is back. She wisely did not follow D and T's It's stupid-a--, insubordinate action. Saves her rage for when it matters. She gets to stay too.

He is a shadow of his former self. I agree, his character is played out.

Feels to me, almost everybody did! So far, nothing really worth mentioning or memorable happened in these episodes. There's been no real impact.

True! Terrible season so far. It's a shame because the All out war storlyline is one of the best in the comics but sadly the writters managed to make it utter crap in the show.
