Discuss The Walking Dead

Doesn't Morgan have somewhat of established backstory? Wouldn't his participation in FTWD change what was established in TWD? I guess they can do it, however they need to establish how he ended up in Texas. In TWD he spent most of his time in Georgia, I guess they could do it between the time after the death of his son and him meeting Rick and him meeting Eastman, I think that is his name, it has been a couple seasons. It just seems odd that they would choose him and not Abraham.

It's absolutely the worst idea I've ever heard for TWD. Obviously done to try and boost FTWD. Just let the two stories tell their separate stories. If FTWD isn't strong enough, that's too bad. Write better stories. Don't give us "A Very Special FEAR THE WALKING DEAD" crossover. IMO, this really cheapens the franchise.

I do not mind a crossover if it is done logically, The character of Morgan is way to high profile to crossover due to his backstory. Now they could do it in the following ways, a) Have them go to Atlanta and then meet up with Morgan prior to him meeting Rick (I am not sure if Rick is still in his coma). Set it between Rick calling him after season 1 and the death of his son when Morgan meets up with Rick the 2nd time when he was going crazy or have him meet them at prior to finding his Jedi Mentor. Most Likely they will just have Lennie James move to Texas and then throw something together ignoring plot holes, which is probably what they are going to do.

How is this even gonna work? Fear could time jump? Or Morgan started off in Mexico then goes to Georgia to find his wife and kid. Or he does that after meeting Rick for the first time then returns to Georgia again.

How does he even get across the country in a logical time frame. Especially going back and forth in a ZA, it would take a few years considering all the problems along the way.

Why the feck would you travel all that length once even? I hope it's not gonna be the nut bar version of Morgan that we see in Fear either.

The entire idea is so ridiculous - they might as well have him hitch a ride on Santa's sled.

Or have him meet up with Abraham Lincoln: Zombie Hunter.

That sounds infinitely more entertaining.

Yes, the aikido teacher's name is Eastman.

It does seem odd. Maybe Michael Kudlitz didn't want to return as Abraham. I remember seeing him at a Horrorhound convention as we learned about someone getting "Lucille'd". He acted very strangely, didn't speak but a few words, wasn't called upon to contribute anything to the panel discussion.I immediately guessed that he was one who Negan killed. I bet he was angry about getting killed off.

One thing's for sure, Cudlitz definitely has been playing the show's makers' game to a tee. I think it was before the season 7 premiere that he went on dyeing his hair red, to make people think that he was still filming the show? And not too long ago, Cudlitz tweeted a tweet where he basically implied that he might be back with the franchise. I mean, that's what people gathered from his tweet. I never would've guessed that Morgan was the cross-over character after hearing about that tweet.

I can see Morgans appearance only pre-WD. Do we know how long Rick was in a coma, before/during the outbreak?

I think he was in a coma for 3 months?

I agree, the Morgan crossover doesn't fit the story. I had seen Abraham or Merle Dixon mentioned. Obviously both were red herrings.

Morgan is a goner soon.

Potential jump the shark moment.
