Yes @Satch_the_man, she did take a beating. I guess taking time out to recuperate is a good thing. Hope that's all it is.

I think Danai Gurira (Michonne) is currently filming Black Panther so maybe that's why they have given her a break from a few episodes.

Ah, ok, so, we have some real life shooting/set conflicts, and some in-story writing of her taking a beating and getting some rest to accommodate. The pieces fit.
