Talking Dead's Chris Hardwick put it well when he said, Daryl was like "Let's have tea" or something to that effect.

It's almost laughable, like other characters suddenly found their conscience... "Let's just make all these stupid and untypical decisions, so that they're gonna bite us in the ass later."

That was about the only decent thing in this episode.
