Where did they get infinite ammunition? Multiple sustained gun battles with everyone shooting full-auto guns. And they wasted about a million rounds shooting out windows last week. They actually think those sheets of roofing tin will stop bullets? (They won't.)

The middle school writers gave them infinite ammo.

It’s just more bad writing after bad writing. It’s long been established they won’t waste a single bullet on a walker if they can use a knife, but here they are intentionally wasting a thousand or more rounds of ammo to break windows.

This was one of the worst episodes in quite some time. The show jumped the shark in Season 7, but up to now I at least wasn't bored by it. Now, I was. You know you're in trouble when you're actually wishing for Negan to return.

in the comics they had Eugene working around the clock making bullets for weeks in preparation for the initial assault.

There was a time when this show was pretty riveting. It held my undivided attention, but now, that time has long passed. It's background filler as I'm doing work or chores.

They only "explanation" I had for it, was, to attract walkers. Still stupid of course.

The show got silly years ago when Carol became Rambo and killing zombies became so easy.

The unlimited ammo is akin to Star Trek Voyager (for those unfortunate enough to have watched the weakest entry in the Trek franchise).
SPOILERS FOR THAT SHOW BELOW (come on - it's 20+ years old - but yes - I'll still point out spoilers)
When the ship was initially stranded in the Delta Quadrant, they made a big deal out of the fact they only had "x" amount of photon torpedoes, and used them sparingly. However, when they encountered the Borg (because they needed to do SOMETHING to make this show interesting) they suddenly had an infinite supply of torpedoes. Also, they seemed to have an infinite number of shuttlecraft, which kept crashing onto planets and getting destroyed. They made a HUGE deal of how they built ONE craft - the Delta Flyer - but somehow, a ship that originally was stocked with 2 shuttlecraft burned through 25 during the course of the show.
This wasn't a "Jump the Shark" moment for me with TWD, but it's coming close. They at least need to have given us a nod and wink as to where all this ammo is coming from. As someone said before, they give some indication, even absurd, in the comic books.
And yes, I get it. It's a show about Zombies. So a certain amount of disbelief goes without saying. But when the show starts trampling over it's own logic and cannon, they lose the privilege of that excuse. They spent YEARS conserving ammunition. YEARS. But, having the ratings drop apparently means action trumps cannon.

You mean like Rick bellowing out "We've ALREADY WON!!!!"
I hate that line. In every context it's used. No - you haven't already won. That's a line used mostly by people who are afraid they are about to lose, in order to keep people from abandoning them.

Yup. Like that.

Actually, it's mostly used by shitty writers who saw it in the 10,000 previous movies and shows in which it was used and can't actually write original dialogue themselves.
