I like all of the action in the show this season, although it does feel like it goes by very quickly. Drama feels more absorbing, for me. But action is good, too.
I haven’t watched it yet, but what a waste of an episode. Did anybody really stop and think about why the Morales “arc” needs a wrap up. He’s nothing. The character was lower than red shirt zombie fodder, and they waste an episode over him.

I'm not familiar with Morales, but they did not waste the entire episode on him. And it was revealed on Talking Dead that he serves as a reminder of Rick's past, pointing out how Rick has changed since season 1.

The whole episode was just people shooting at each other...so dumb and boring. Morales shows up in the end, so I'm sure there's an episode in the future...

Didn't they already accomplish that by bringing back Morgan? Morgan was with Rick since Day 1, and he would be the one most qualified to measure the change in Rick.

Well Rick has changed more since they brought him back.
For an episode comprised entirely of action, It's an absolutely incredible achievement that they managed to eschew anything that resembled excitement, drama, tension, depth or anything that might risk eliciting some kind of emotional response. It was like everyone was just sleepwalking through the whole thing.

Because they probably got letters from fans who were wanting to know whatever happened to Morales. They needed closure and the producers needed a filler episode.
