Anyone thinks JDM sucks and Negan?

I do. He is just nothing like his comic book counterpart. JDM is a scrawny old guy and that is so not Negan. Negan in the comics is a brute, a good head taller and way bigger than Rick who I can believe is capable of ruling this huge army of savages with fear. He is scary without 10 guys standing behind him with machine guns. JDM's Negan is just a douchebag acting tough but he looks weak as hell. He is not menacing at all. The only reason I'd fear him is the 10 guys behind him with machine guns. In the comics this guy brutally beat up Rick. Meanwhile in the show JDM looks like Enid might kick his ass,

I agree. I didn't love him last season and was hoping they would tweak his performance after so much negative feedback. If anything, he was worse in the season opener. It doesn't bode well. I hope they kill him off but I doubt that will happen. Gimple and Co. seem pretty committed to him and to the storyline.

I never heard of JDM before WALKING DEAD even though his fans were calling him a movie star and great actor. He must have a great PR department behind him because it sounds like the producers of the show bought into it and committed big money to him, and now we’re stuck with him for a very long drawn out time.

Should of had someone like Henry Rollins. He was good in season 7 episode 1, but quickly declined and never came back up.

Yep, JDM was simply badly casted as Negan. He's not a terrible actor, he's just not intimidating yet oozing shrewdness like Negan from the comics.

Ray Stevenson would be a good choice for Negan. The guy is almost 2 meters tall. But this train has left the station ....

And it's not just that. Negan in the comic is a bastard and a murderous sadist but he's also a human being with a full range of emotions, not a camp cartoon. That's all the tv version is.
