Diskutera The Walking Dead

The Sequence involving Rick's Dream seemed out of place and unless it is going to be a recurring theme throughout the season, then it was unnecessary. That was the only thing that seemed out of place.

@lennonforever: Do I really want to read It? 🤔🤔Will it ruin any backstories for me from the television series? 🤔🤔😟😟😟

No, not at all. It's strictly about Negan and his backstory. Gives you insight into how he becomes the man he is. On Youtube type in "Here's Negan #1 ,then you will see it. As I said, it goes up to #16.

I get what they are trying to do with the dream sequence but I don't think it is being done well at all. Sloppy. I really hope it is not a Damages-style, season long theme (Damages did it right but eventually abused it). I guess I should be happy that they are trying to elevate their art.

I disagree. I think the dream sequence spoke to the world for which they are fighting for. What he wants for their future.

I thought it was perfectly placed. But that's just my opinion.

I think the dream sequences were about Rick's vision of the future after the war. Not exactly a flash forward, more idealized than that.

That also works for me.

Think we’ll get some negan flash back this season?

I hope we do. We really don't know anything about the prick.

Have you read the "Here's Negan" comics backstory? It's on Youtube written by Kirkman. Check it out. There are 16 entries with a few pages each. You get insight into his character.

Nooo dont wanna be spoiled like that. just gonna watch it unfold on tv

I didn't like it too much. Didn't care for Madison's dream sequence at the end of the last season of FTWD either.

It's very possible that the girl in that flash forward scene is not Rick's and Lori's daughter. Instead, it's the daughter of the man who Rick killed in The Damned episode...S8 Ep2.

The bunny rabbit in the crib may be a give away. That child was essentially left without a parent because of Rick. He was deeply affected by it.

Do you mean Lori and Shane's daughter?

Yes. Rick has this thing for taking on the responsibility of raising other men's children...specifically daughters.
