Do I have to say it? Must I write that you shouldn't read this thread if you aren't caught up in the comics? It should be common sense.
Anyhow, in this issue, Negan saves Rick's life. And as the two of them are hiding inside an abandoned house waiting for that unbelievably large horde of zombies to move on, Negan and Rick have a heart to heart conversation about the worst thing they've ever done since the apocalypse began. Negan talks about the man he has become and his motivations.
I was surprised to find out that Negan was married. He was a normal guy. It was the apocalypse that changed him into a monster. I always figured that Negan was some kind of criminal before the apocalypse and he was able to find a niche during the whole thing. Like a criminal out of control. That wasn't the case at all.
So how did you react to Negan's confession? What are your thoughts on the whole thing? Do you think that - in light of Negan being screwed up in the head admission - maybe Rick will forgive Negan for murdering Glenn and Abe?

SPOILERS FOR THE COMICS
I am up-to-date on both TWD comics, and the "Here's Negan" comics. I disagree that Negan was a "normal" guy. Yes, he was married and his wife died, here name was Lucille. He displayed anti-social behavior before he ZA and now, after. He is a sociopath, well before the ZA.

I don't remember him anything about him being a normal guy, but I could have looked over it. I was kind of surprised and then not, when I found out that he was married. I figured Lucille was the name of maybe his daughter or his mom or something like that. I just couldn't imagine anyone putting up with him. As for Rick forgiving him, I seriously doubt it. Rick may tolerate him, but not forgive him. In other words, they will never sit around and braid each other's hair.

Well so far, Negan is trying so hard to be the man that Rick could admire. He's joking around with Rick. And being a complete team player now. Even Rick was surprised that Negan is helping to save Alexandria rather than double crossing them like The Saviors are. And now that in the latest issue, Andrea is bitten and definitely going to die, perhaps Andreas death will be the catalyst that brings Negan and Rick closer since Negan understands what it's like to lose a significant other. That's just a prediction of mine.

Sorry, Gigi, I am not ready to face the fact that Andrea is dying. I am holding onto the fact that it is a bullet wound and she will have a hole in her neck just like Car's eye. That works for me. (Finally, an Andrea that I can like).
There is a possibility that Rick and Negan's relationship will change to a better relationship, but still think that Rick will never forgive him. No matter how hard Negan tries. Their relationship will be more of a "We protect each other and our people" type of relationship. Sure they will speak or may even hold a conversation, but they will be no more than acquaintances that just happen to be social with each from time to time. Of course, this is just my opinion.

I know how you feel about Andrea. I literally had to look away from the panel that showed Andrea's neck. I was devestated! She is just such a brave sweet woman. I hope that it isn't a bite but when I started reading the letter hacks, Kirkman kind of confirms it. And then he just says "moving right along...." So I dunno.
You're prediction about Rick and Negan maybe right. I cannot think of one instance where someone hurt Rick as much as Negan and Rick has forgiven them.

I disagree. He was a foul-mouthed idiot. just because he 'loved' Lucille, his wife, does not make him normal.

He was a football coach. How more normal can one get? He even cheated on his wife. That's normal too. Lol

He was a HS sports coach, and used the f-word all the time cause he thought that would endear him to the students. He was also very quick to kill anyone in the immediate event.😉

Yeah I got mixed up between the comic and the show. It's like the show is a butterfly effect of the comic. Lol
Thanks.
So do you think that Rick can forgive Negan for all of Negan's atrocities?

@LadyGigi , I heard you are trying to join Crystals board? I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, at least it's more active than on here. But be careful. Those guys are looking for another target to pick on, and they love picking on you. So just be ready for that, or at least, ignore their rants, because they're going to try to get a rise out of you.
