Discuss The Walking Dead

I think I'd hold out in a Dicks Sporting Goods. Apparently, that's where Ezekiel was holding out at, and now he's a king of a kingdom. And all those idiots argued that Walmart was the best place to hold out. Morons.

How do you know, have you ever tested that theory? Personally I find the Martian atmosphere to be a little thin but quite refreshing. Definitely not for everyone though.

I was going on the belief that the virus is a Earth related problem. Thin...hmm, not so much for me. I would disagree. However, you are right about refreshing.

You also missed the part that EVERYONE alive is already infected and when they die they turn. Wouldn't work out so well for Mars either.

A small island would probably be the safest place, somewhere with enough space to grow crops and surround the island with a wall, somewhere with trees for sleeping above ground and a reverse osmosis machine for water, a decent sized yacht to be able to go to the mainland to scavage for food tinned goods etc in case of a bad crop and such

The walkers arent much of a problem really, they cant even get up stairs :p

The idea of islands were presented before, but the problem is that walkers can walk under water. So you might have herds of walkers emerging from the ocean. Also, there's no way out of an island. You can easily become trapped if you're not careful.

It isnt like the seabed is flat, walkers would have a hard time walking underwater, all they would need to do is put up a chain fence around the island just in case like they did in fear the walking dead, would be fine

I didn't miss that part. I just didn't figure it into my equation. I still feel that Mars would work. Why? Still, because of the atmosphere. Not only can the virus not survive there, but it can't evolve upon death. Something about Earth's atmosphere is the key to the virus. This is of course my imagination...my story. So my theories are sound and undeniable.

When you think about it, I'm doing what some people do on this board. Try to rewrite The Walking Dead because they're not happy with the story line. I'm not complaining, just having some fun.

I must admit. Some of you are quite imaginative. Nonetheless, someone is always going to shit on your idea...which isn't even original. Not so easy being a screenwriter...is it?

A village built in the trees, like a bunch of tree houses built together. Think the tree village in Robin Hood: Prince of Theives.

Until a tornado or hurricane hits and everyone gets flung from trees, dies and turns into walkers. Keep trying! wink

Now don't you go and shit on peoples ideas. Treehouse of horror sounds like an excellent village. With the right engineering, it would be able to survive a few major storms. But of course, there will always be that Class 5 Tornado that will wreak havoc even if those homes were made out of concrete.

I'm sorry Shredder. I couldn't resist.

Until we figure out space travel and planet terraformation Mars shouldn't even be included in ZA survival discussion. Let alone form hypothesis around "thin martian air" preventing virus spread.

Hey, don't knock the thin Martian air! A little explosive decompression is good for the sinuses.

Yes the space travel stuff is a little silly assuming a present day ZA. I was just saying that if there was an offworld settlement, they'd have to keep refugees away by any means necessary or suffer the same fate as Earth.

Arnold's face from Total Recall immediately sprung to mind joy
