Didn't Rick already say that exact same thing to Negan before? And there he was saying it again like he had never said it before. It has kind of lost its umph. I didn't "believe" him. A couple of good moments, but nothing like the show it used to be.

I liked the defiance. He knew Negan was about to kill his son and maim him, but he was past crying and begging.

He was willing to lose everything for the cause. Obviously if Negan killed Carl Rick would stop at nothing to destroy Negan. Negan seemed to be ready for the fight. No more Mr. Nice guy for Negan. I hope that the All Out War adaptation is worth the wait.

It kept my interest as well. I was surprised it did though. I was expecting more lame writing. I especially enjoyed Sasha's finale moments. I liked her suicide better than how she died in the comic book. Also, It was much better than Sasha dying by going full on Rambo with the Saviors. The way she psyched herself up for the suicide by listening to music and thinking about someone who she cared about who was taken from her.. It was touching. Those scenes with Abraham were tender and sweet. So now I have no doubts that they really were a good match after all. They did care and were supportive to each other emotionally. Abraham had more of a loving relationship with Sasha than he did with Rosita.

I wanna see you and JRiddle discuss what you didn't like about the finale. He will outsmart you sure enough. He'll run circles around your logic. Nothing you could say would be more articulate and as educated as his. But I'd like to see you try. Perhaps there will be some parts that you both disagree on. Then you could have a respectful disagreement and debate. You know. You like that type of stuff dontcha?

There was still: 1) Too much fluff filler rubbish with Sasha's final moments in the coffin, flashing back to a cameo appearance by Abraham 2) Absolute crap about a tiger being so clever to know who was friend and who was foe 3) Gunfights within metres of one another but the opposing team were such crap shooters 4) Negan still having no issue with giving everyone the finger while the truck is being sprayed with bullets

I used to enjoy watching this series but this season has been ridiculously stretched thin. Thankfully, I record these things to watch them later and skim through the fluff, so I can get on with watching other shows which are more enthralling. But of course, I'm invested so heavily into this story that I can't just say that I'm done with TWD altogether and call it quits. I might take it one step further, as another viewer mentioned, and watch the first two episodes perhaps, then the mid-season finale, then repeat the process for the next half of the season. It would definitely be more efficient and if season eight is to be anything like season seven, I definitely will not have missed a thing.

The "fluff" as you call it with Sasha seemed meaningful, being that it was her last show, and her fans probably appreciated it. The only problem I had with it is that it was so gloomy/morbid to watch her in that dark coffin, succumbing to Eugene's poison.

I would add onto the issues you had with the ep the fact that Michonne, who's been proven to be a bad-ass over and over again, got the floor wiped with herself by that scavenger woman. It seemed just a bit out of character for her to get beaten to a pulp like that. When it was over, it looked like she had fallen off of the ugly tree, hit a bunch of branches on the way down, then bounced off of the ground and hit some more branches, and then did that again a few more times!

Yeah, a few have mentioned it was like they were watching season six's finale all over again. I thought it was just a bit of desperate bravado from someone who's come to terms with having lost. The one last "screw you" before leaving the mortal coil.
