I totally disagree with that and I'll explain why:
1) Walker is on top of Madison, trying to chomp away. Chris just stands there, stonefaced.
2) His stepsister, Alicia, busted him just standing there and eventually confronted him about it. He confronted her in return, slamming her against the door frame and saying that he doesn't want to hurt anyone, in a very creepy manner.
If both of those events doesn't leave you thinking that the kid was getting dangerous, then of course you wouldn't have a clear motivation for what he was doing in the ladies' bedroom there with a knife.
But if you do take those two events into consideration, it's very simple ... one is a woman he wants to kill because he resents her for Travis leaving him mum and then eventually shooting her in the head. The other is a woman who would rat him out. I saw no ambiguity in it.

Okay. Certain details from the last season of that show are either fuzzy or forgotten for me. Thanks for the detailed analysis.

No drama mate. Happy to help. I struggled to remember if he had already grabbed her by the throat when he threatened her or not. I had to look that bit up again before responding. It was so long ago, after all.

No. I mean LIKE. He was a smarmy douche who was impossible to like or empathize with early on. When he teamed up with those guys, he instantly became more interesting. Evil, yes. But a good villain who could have been cool to see in later seasons. I'll take his group's survive-at-all-costs method over Travis's better-to-go-down-caring thing. Boring. So they make a character interesting and kill him off right away. What a waste.

Dude, they went a little over the top in making that kid out like a douche. You wanted him dead instantly. To me it was one of the few satisfying things the show gave us. Good riddance to that clown.

I think he had potential as a villain in the making. Young Governor maybe.

Exactly. Way more palatable as a villain with his own (albeit brutal) philosophy of Z-pacalypse survival rather than the whiny son with his grade-school sophistication level of problems/drama. I went from hating the character for being written so poorly to hating him for his actions. That is successful passage through the suspension of disbelief. FTWD has few characters that are well realized. The minute they improved his arc, they took him away.

I will say that his manner of death was great. I did like it. I even gave a little "yye-ahh!" I just felt like they wasted what was suddenly an interesting character. Something the show has a dearth of. His death could have been much sweeter if later.

Well, not only that but we got to see Travis drop his pussy persona and show what he could do when properly motivated. I bet Maddie got wet as hell watching him tear those jokers apart.
Al this talk of FTWD makes me wanna watch it again after I decided to abandon it last season. Maybe I will give it another go. Sadly it put TWD to shame this season and I never in a million years would have imagined that.

Tell me about it! The first season of FTWD was sooo bad. I only liked two characters at all and now one of them is dead. Somehow TWD dragged its feet so hard that its weak spinoff has more luster now. pff

Back to "ways to fix the walking dead."
I think its time for Scott Gimple to go. Get a new showrunner.
