Ladies and Gentleman, let's get ready to ruuuuummmmble!!!!! Presenting the main event of the evening. AMC and the King of Bum Steers, No-Wiser, presents "Something They Need," the latest installment of THE WALKING DEAD! In this corner, Filler Material! Ludicrously overextended, repetitive and tedious scenes that add little more than running-time to the proceedings. And its opponent in the red corner, Idiot Plot Syndrome! Stories that are dependent upon every character behaving like a complete imbecile and that reduce the proceedings to clueless half-wits randomly crashing into one another without real rhyme or reason! Which of TWD's deadly faults will dominate? Refereeing tonight's event, in this, his 93rd TWD article, J. Riddle!
After the cold opening, Filler came out slugging...
The full fight is here.

And this episode showed what a dick Rick can actually be. He basically bullied a community of women. Why didn't he do that to the garbage people?
Michonne isn't even as cool as she used to be. I bet it was Rick's idea to put Michonne in that tree as a sharp shooter. How can you even get a good shot with a sniper rifle in the woods from up in a tree? Tara was fat and annoying. Sasha's plan fucked all up. She may as well kill herself. Eugene is sooo much a Negan now. Gregory is even more of a slime ball than in the comic. At least in the comic he doesn't try to murder a pregnant woman. This episode was definitely a waste of time.

Oceanside gave up too easily. I am surprised they were not armed to the teeth just as a regular everyday thing and had their weapons in an armory. Course that would have meant an expensive shoot out battle! Pretty sure the writers are being hamstrung by the shows dwindling budget. Darabount left after season one reportedly due to AMC being more interested in keeping costs down than the quality of the show. No doubt further cuts, after seeing ratings were not killed by the long drawn out season 2 which thus become the template for all seasons since, more cuts have been made.. By comparison, Game of Thrones uses it's limited budget sparingly but always gives us big bang for the buck episodes that show why they saved their money on talky filler eps. The last all out expensive looking set piece in TWD I recall was the prison raid by the governor!
But any old way... it is clear next week will not be the end of Negan. Another season then of him before the end. Which means we'll get another terrible cliff hanger in spite of promises being made they'll never do that to the fans again.
