Discuss The Walking Dead

Sasha tells Enid that Enid must stay to watch Maggie because once Negan is killed the Saviours will be coming after Hilltop. True. I am sure but .... why not clue Rick in and tell him your plan this way they will be ready? She knows Rick wants to go after them and they could have made a coordinated effort to get the job done.

Also, and feel free to correct me if I am wrong .......... if I recall Sasha and Abraham weren't really a "couple" yet. He was trying to sweet talk her and she was a long time coming to reciprocation. So, what I want to know is why does she stay by his grave so much ?

No, they were officially a couple at that point. They even discussed having a child. Just in a theoretical sort of way, but it was a major change in their relationship. Remember that? I think in a way that grave represents not just Abraham himself but the life she could've had that was snatched away. Yet again.

I remember the talk of children ... I took it as hypothetical. I suppose I just didn't "feel " a real relationship for them. I'm not a big shipper when it comes to tv shows, so I must have missed the vibe. Plus, half way through Abraham's evolution I knew he was going to die soon so I may have stopped paying close attention. However, your idea of mourning what could have been really makes sense to me! Thank you!!

That chrisdjel guy is such a Megan!!!!!

Sasha has always been a nut when it comes to relationships. Remember Bob and how after he died she went temporarily "insane" for a few episodes after. She was romantic with Bob only a few days before he died and from her reaction to his death you would think that was her husband of 40 years. As for Abraham I don't even think they lived together in Alexandria. They were like boyfriend-girlfriend.

Which means ... what, exactly?

Ah, yes, Bob! I did forget her response to his death.

Well it was implied that they had been a couple for a lot longer than a couple of episodes unlike when she and Abe got together. Abe and Sasha weren't even officially a couple yet. They hadn't even had sex yet.

I didn't think they were a real couple yet either...but somehow the show seems to be implying that they were. Not sure where that's coming from. Yeah they were talking and he seemed more into her than she was him...but still.

That's one thing that kind of kills me about the show...they move at a snails pace on some things...and then on others...all of a sudden people are coupled together. Kind of like Rick and Michonne...there was a good friendship there for sure...but all of a sudden they were having sex. It's kind of strange.

However, Bob's death was rather close to her brother Tyreese's death. I recall when Sasha was at the party in Alexandria, they did a montage sequence of images that were on her mind, they showed Tyreese's dead body in the ground, and then she snapped at that woman. I think it was the combined effect of those 2 deaths that made Sasha get unhinged, not just Bob's.

That's the way it looked to me as well.

OK, so I didn't miss it. LOL. I do like the idea that she is mourning what will not be. Honestly, I don't think she is going to make it out anyway.

@Mrs. Y

Honestly I have no clue why the writers are doing this with her character. It's like they have nowhere else to take her story arc. Sasha was only in a couple of comic issues if that. On the show, she's hardly accomplished anything. When Sasha dies, what type of impact would that have on the show and would any of the show's fans miss Sasha at all? I know I won't.

There is nothing else to use her for,, they made her become boring. I stopped liking the character once all she was doing was target practice. (I think it was when she was pregnant or just back from maternity leave.) It was just her in her head and truthfully, that's not fun to watch. I was so taken with her in the beginning but they let her fizzle out.

Exactly. They did nothing special to her character. I don't even understand why Bob was on the show either. Her death in the comic shaped Tyreese's character. But in the show they killed him off before her. Makes no sense whatsoever. And it seems as though Sasha was going to become a sharp shooter like Andrea is in the comic but when it became time for Sasha to use her sharp shooting skills, instead the writers have Sasha run into the Savior's complex shooting it up like a hitman. Makes no F-ing sense.
