Daryl crying was a shock to my system because I never knew that he liked Glenn that much. They never had any bonding moments that I can think of.

I honestly don't remember that but there was a lot of offensive things that Merle did which angered Daryl. I just never thought that Glenn was a character who Daryl LOVED enough to cry about. It wasn't even his fault Glenn died. It was Eugene's fault.
