Discuss 行尸走肉

I really liked it...except for their attempt at manipulating us by leading us to think that Rick had been killed and devoured by walkers, it was really intelligent & engaging. One of my favorite parts was when the leader of the junkyard people (I think her name is Kandis?) said that there weren't enough guns to cover the deal: this kept things from being too easy for Rick and company, I think. And speaking of company, how about that Rosita? She is just stunning to look at, but grating to listen to. Her plan to take out Negan with just Sasha is unbelievably dumb.....

Boring as usual.

If I had to describe it in one word, I'd say: Boring.

Other than that, can someone tell me on what planet do we have fully armed soldiers at a Carnival? Was that Carnival in Stalin-Era Russia or something? Because, WTF? None of this episode made any sense other than it being a love story between Rick and Michonne.

It was an elementary school and they were probably having a carnival when everything hit the fan. It probably became the local safe zone for that area. Then it got over run or there was an attack or some sort of uprising gone bad. Some of the walkers had their hands bound.

I noticed that too. Things were probably starting to come off the rails, and a group of civilians tried taking control from the soldiers but failed.

Seeing Michonne do more work than Rick really pissed me off. They just don't belong together. If they're trying to emulate the relationship between Rick and Andrea in the comic book it isn't working out because the Rick and Andrea in the comic book are very different from the tv show. They think differently. Although the Michonne on the show is exactly like she is in the comic book. She's larger than life unlike a normal black woman and she never gets involved in a sexual relationship with Rick. And you can see why. They just aren't compatible. I don't know why they're forcing this Richonne relationship on us.

Also, I wanted to see a little bit of Negan. And I think that Rosita is going to send Sasha on a suicide misssion to kill Negan because Rosita is suicidal.

I actually get a really strong feeling that Sasha is about to bite it quite soon, which kinda stinks.....but hey, the change is good for Sonequa Martin-Green! Congrats to her.

I've heard that Negan kills Sasha in the comics and adds her to the perimeter defenses as a walker. Rosita apparently doesn't exist in the comics so her fate is anyone's guess. If she survives, she needs to pull herself together and stop doing stupid shit that gets people killed.

I've heard Sasha is history as well. I wonder how they would add someone who is leaving the show as a permanent "walker" fixture. I'm guessing they won't do that. If she does go...and I think she is...they'll probably do it in another way.

As for Rosita, she's getting on my nerves being such a bitch. I realize she's upset but they all are...she needs to chill and get with the rest of the group.

I agree with Rosita being a major bitch. She's not like that in the comics in case you wanna read them some day.

I'd give it a 7/10.

It was kind of boring, and I hate how they're cutting down on the gore. Most of the walker kills were off-screen.

More like cutting back on the budget! All the blood and make-up is expensive! As far as this whole getting guns for the junkyard gang... they could not have gotten them for themselves this whole time? I mean they are both scavenging for goods for Negan and now getting guns so...?? Are we to believe our cast was so shell shocked by the Saviors that they did not even consider rearming themselves?? Just makes no sense.

Two things really bothered me ..... in what universe would a carnival set up right outside an army base and why were they walking across the middle of a soggy roof???

Ah, I saw it as a military base .... school makes more sense. LOL

That wasn't an army base, it looked like an elementary school. There must have been a carnival there right before the collapse. The school was designated as a shelter area, which is why there were civilians there as well as soldiers. And most of the time a roof with puddles on top of it is perfectly safe. Ten years after the apocalypse you'd probably expect the danger; but it's a small town, maybe they were putting off roof repairs as long as possible to save money and so it didn't take nearly as long to become unsafe.

Geez...even the "b" word is now automatically bleeped out. This censorship is kind of heavy handed. We're watching shows and movies where these words are used all the time and WE can't use them when discussing the shows and movies? It's a bit much.

If you go to your account page...click details, and you will find you have the choice to change the setting for censoring stuff.

That's bullshit cuz there ain't no Sasha in the comics.

They just aren't compatible. I don't know why they're forcing this Richonne relationship on us.

Typical SJW, look-we-ain't-racist, horseshit. The entire show's writing is inundated with that crap. I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce a transgender character.

It made me realise that zombies truly aren't scary any more in TWD world whatsoever.

Car surrounded? Hop out the sunroof and tap dance around the inexplicably short zombs who can't seem to reach you. On the floor surrounded? Shoot a CGI deer in the face and sneak away.

Opposites attract. They are together because they have been slowly progressing to a sexual relationship. They went from strangers, to comrades, to friends & now lovers. People forget that there is a time jump from S6 ep 6 to S6 Ep 10 when they get together. I believe its a 2 month gap. It also helps that the actors have good chemistry together. People forget that the actors also tend to have a bit of input about their characters. Rick & whomever in the comics might work on paper but on screen, even if its written that way, if the actors don't have chemistry together folks are not gonna buy it. Plus I'm kinda glad tv Michonne isn't exactly like her comic counterpart.

Opposites do not attract. You have to have something in common. Let's not forget that. Before the apocalypse Rick and Michonne would never have gotten together. She didn't even date men like him. He didn't date women like her. Sure Lori was tough...but she wasn't a fighter like Michonne. The only reason they are together is because the writers FORCED it. And sure, nobody mainstream wants to see a promiscuous black woman who is so broken emotionally that only way she can access her vulnerability or submission is through sexually conquering every black male character. Heavens forbid. That would actually take more of a risk than the interracial relationship. The fact is that Michonne is a broken woman and she stays that way. Her ability to survive is because she's broken and hardened. But she's not a psychopath like Negan or the Governor so in TWD world that makes her a hero.

And just because her and Rick became friends doesn't mean that they are fit to be lovers. Rick is friends with Carol. He went from being her enemy, to commrades to trusted friends. Carol saved the group a lot of times. So what's the difference between Michonne and Rick vs Carol and Rick? The writers didn't go with logic and put Carol and Rick together. Carol has more in common with Lori. At least Carol knows what It's like to be a housewife. She wasn't an ambitious working mom like Michonne. Michonne doesn't even spend time a lot of time with Carl and Judith. Somone else is always babysitting them.
