I enjoy both series. Watched all the episodes of both. They are quite different in tone, though. I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts.
I think I prefer Ash. The episodes are shorter and therefore more focused and action-packed. They're also more emotionally rewarding. It is extremely frustrating to watch episode after episode of TWD lately wherein all the characters are verbally abused or mocked this whole season, and they just stand there and take it. Where's our beloved bad ass Rick? Come back to us! Yes, i understand there's a narrative arc with an eventual pay-off... but the same is still true of Ash, yet there's still a visceral sense of satisfaction with every episode.
Ash is fun and oh-so bloody violent. TWD is violent too but the characters seem so bored killing zombies that we the audience can detect this ennui as well. And now, we barely see any zombies at all... it's just Negan this and Negan that and everybody loves Carol. And give her pastries, too.
I'll say this though -I'll watch any episode of TWD any day, ANY day, over Fear the Walking Dead.
BTW, it's quite intriguing to see Eugene as a Negan convert. I'd like to see how that storyline plays out. Eugene's brains vs. Rick's ruthlessness, cool...

It's NEGAN. Not Negal. He's not a British stock exchange expert.
A 30 minute comedy show based on a 30 year old independent movie that one many German awards is like an orange. A 1 hour drama show about a gritty world based on a series of graphic novels is like an apple. They aren't comparable.
Just saying.

Ash is definitely the most fun show of the three. I loved the first season of Z Nation. That´s what keeps me watching - but I hope they end it with the 4th season. It gets less and less interesting - in my opinion. Walking Dead is always ups and downs for me - but in it´s entity it´s a great show with stunning moments and a few fillers.
So Ash and Walking Dead - even if hard to compare are on the same "entertainment" level for me. Z Nation - sadly - gets worse with each season.

Z Nation is produced by Asylum who are known for such masterpieces as Sharknado and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus and other classics like The Terminators, Battle of Los Angelos and other great movies with rip off titles from blockbuster hits. If that tells you anything about why Z Nation is a crap fest.

Ash vs Evil Dead. Although I thought the plot of second season of Ash made very little sense and the Deadites weren't as scary as first season's. I still didn't like how Ruby's character arc developed. Even with all those minor issues, Ash vs Evil Dead is still is 100x more interesting than TWD's drawn out storyline and it's visual effects.

I say "The Walking Dead." Keep in mind, I haven't seen the new Ash show yet, but I don't think I'll be getting that channel so I can watch it anytime soon.

Download it. Not that I'd ever condone the illegal sharing of copyrighted material (wink wink) but theoretically one could do that.
