Good idea. All those space rockets just lying round waiting for someone to come up with this brilliant idea...
And all those supplies up there to scavenge too. Enough food to last a lifetime ... a very short lifetime. Actually, the return of astronauts from the ISS a year or two after the outbreak (when they've finally exhausted their stocks and have no choice) might make an interesting story for FTWD. Unless someone in the military has been talking to them, they literally won't know what they're heading into, whether anyone is left alive down there, and whether they'll infect themselves the moment they take a breath.
