Was "backpack" man the guy who raped Coral?

Wasn't backpack man in the episode Clear where they went back home and there was the guy with the backpack at the beg and then at the end of the episode he was dead when they passed him again then they took his backpack. RIP backpack guy

Yes. I remember it well. Carl was never actually raped, although it was a close call.
