big moment of defiance. i'd been looking forward to that. i suppose it's still possible but it looks like they're taking a different direction there on the show.

Is he being for real and adapting that quickly to Negan's environment? Or is he just playing the game and going along with it until the moment is right?

I would say he's playing the game.

If you're talking about something that happens in the comics, why do you assume that his moment of defiance should have been on this episode? What ever happened to build up before climax?

very similar to the show: Negan stumbled upon Eugene's machine shop and brought him back to the Sanctuary. then instead of courting him Negan threatened him with (explicit) physical violence.

I liked this version better. It makes more sense, and a better business strategy to play in the ego's of the one's you need, rather than threaten them into submission. If that's how the comics went, I'm glad they changed that for the show.

I think that it would take a lot at this point for Eugene to betray Negan cus Negan has put the fear of God into him. Rick would have to offer more to Eugene for him to switch sides.

GREAT EPISODE! That guy who plays Eugene came on "Talking Dead" after the ep, and I think he is a very good actor. I could see how different he is from the character Eugene. As for the topic: he did say that he's a coward. I think he figured how best to play his cards. BTW, that was some funny stuff: "stone-cold Negan." LOL. Leave no doubt in the guy's mind whatsoever.

Well, Eugene played Abraham and Tara very well all the way from Texas. Eugene is an oppurtunist in the way of surviving. He really likes everyone for the most part in Rick's group except for maybe Tara. He will think eventually they will be there. He can really gain a whole lot of knowledge. If you didn't notice in this weeks episode he was doing a bunch of observing. He stared at everyone and listened to what they were doing. Eugene isn't betraying anyone. Noticed how he changed subjects really quick when he started to say he found a place where he could make the bullett? He is a quick thinker and loves to tell fiction when needed.

I agree with what Hawkychico-1 said.
